Other than HR Owens dealership, where can I take my Ferrari 550 for wheel alignment in London, UK? A couple of large tyre shops don't have the settings and thus cannot do Ferraris. Thanks, Antonio
Apparently these people have Ferrari experience - not exactly Central London but not too far Blackboots.co.uk / Wheels-inmotion (WIM), 33 Chess Business Park, Moor Road, Chesham, Bucks, HP5 1SD
asalcedo- We can give you the settings if you like. Any competent shop should be able to do a 550 since they use eccentrics instead of the shims of the older cars. Taz Terry Phillips
Hello Terry, Yes, please do give me the settings. I will ask the shop where I took the car if with those settings they can go ahead. Many thanks, Antonio [email protected]
Antonio- Here you go. Caster is still shim adjusted, but there are enough shims already to do that if required. Taz Terry Phillips Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hello Taz, Thank you very much indeed for your help. It looks like a seriously professional matter. In the end I called Blackboots, as suggested, and they have quoted me an all inclusive price that I am happy with. They do seem to be specialists in wheel alignment and have done plenty of 550s in the past. Kind regards, Antonio
This isn't a job for a tyre shop - try GRL Motors Woking who did my 456 - charged on the basis of labour time taken (about £400 from memory) Jeremy
We (Surrey Ferrari) visited there a few weeks ago and everyone was very impressed with them and their knowledge and equipment and I know a number of Ferrari owners have used them since. The machine that changes tyres hands-off without touching (and potentially damaging) the alloys is pretty impressive too.
