bump again since it is now only a few weeks away and fell off of page 1 - lots going on here in Texas this time of year!
I won't be able to make this one this year, I'm in the middle of nowhere NC. I hope to make a track day this fall. -Nicola
OK, fence-sitters. weather looks good and we are actually getting fairly full At least come out to see the festivities. There is a no-charge show and lunchtime track touring
And another thing. Looks like there will be some interesting cars for sure - right now we will likely have Enzo F40 Saleen S7s more? Must be present to see
Plan to be there with Testarossa, but with Rolls Royce if the TR is not quite ready from major at RUF.
Show classes witll be: Best of Show Best Contemporary(2000 present) Best Mid-timer (1980-1999) Best Veteran Car (1979- Older) Peoples Favorite (German Select) Peoples Favorite ( Italian Select)
Keith, that Best Contemporary, Best Mid-timer, Best Veteran - I take this to be either RUF or Porsche? And that other makes just show as non-entrant except for people's favorite? Thanks, James
Not necessarily the case. A lowly Ford won the 2007 Contemporary category. Will be trying for it again.
I tried this with a lonely Chevrolet at the Boardwalk show and was shown the back parking lot. Guess this is why GM is bankrupt while Ford is still standing. Is anybody making up a map (say from RUF to the TMR - I have never been there)?
There will be no favoritism by marque, but please remember the show is very informal and for fun. The guys staffing the show are volunteers driving out to help make it a fun day for the participants and if you have a concern about the show or judging, please take it to me, not them. This is supposed to be a fun day to enjoy enthusiast cars in their natural habitat. As for location, check out http://www.motorsportranch.com/contact_info.cfm and also plug 76035 into your navigation system. The main entrance is at the Texaco station on the south side of 377 about a half mile past (southwest of) the only stoplight in town, the intersection of HWY 377 & 171.
Thanks very much! Now, if I can just figure out where to plug in 76035 into that old Testarossa...guess I had better print it out on paper after all.
Sorry to DP, but what an awesome event. 2 Carrera GTs, 2 F40s, S7, ACRs & Z06s, & even a Murcielago Roadster to join the party.

Love that black CTR2. Gorgeous blue RT12. The F40 is timeless. Hooters girls were not a bad addition. Thanks for posting pics.
I don't but I found some on another forum, photo credit goes to Hans @ Ruf. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Apex instructors, Hooters girls and latex gloves. Quite a combination. We all had a blast and thanks to RUF, first and foremost, Hooters, all the Apex instructors and team and the participants and spectators. I do think it was the best yet and look for even better next time.
