996 GT3 CC versus R32 GT-R

 

If you DO run a GT3 cup car next year.........are you still going to keep your 360 CH??? Or are you thinking of selling it?

 

My little beemer key cost $500 recently.. it has hardly anything fancy about it so think BMW prices for keys are OTT compared with others by the looks.. and THIS was from dealer who always has the best service and costs in the dealer network have found in my region.

40 Euros is probably resonable. I saw one good wheel you could sell on ebay.

quite a few available in aus, no need to take a risk with that, thinking you are saving a few $$$

 

Judging by my105.com, the Aussie ones are ~$160k-$170k + GST.... a new 997 shell is ~$A45k so it gives you plenty of wiggle room buy the car and put the rest of it right. Or could be a good spares car.

To me the 997 CC doesnt seem as 'technical' as the 360Ch.. there is no flappy paddle gearbox, although it is sequential shift.. there is no ABS.. is there an EBC/ASC onboard a 997?

 

With a shunt like that I suspect there's some engine damage as well. Not worth the risk IMO. Those aussie cars will continue to come down in price.c

 

engine mounts,gearbox.you would spend 10k having parts crack tested.

 

The way the powers what be are screwing Oz GT racing there'll be a few choices around.

The Dodge is 10 years old.. even if it doesnt look it..

 

996 cupcar prices are around $100k, and will plummit (at a guess) to half of that at the end of this season, due to many more coming on the market, as the 997 cars will be eligible for the GT3 Cup Challenge outright championship next year. the 997's price will maintain some value for a few years yet.

 

Yeah thats right. I keep on forgetting they run that thing in Tasmania. lol
I'm just pissed to see the Moslers vanish so soon.

 

There is a new 'Targa' event at Symmons Plains at the next V8Supercar round... where the cars from Targa Tasmania will be eligible to run. If the story in AA is right, the White Lamborghini is entered, amongst others....

A shame the 360CH isnt still in Tassie... could have taken it round Symmons for a serious go... navigator to stay in the garage though

I saw the car.. it has no provenance...

Warrior seems to be a brand of cylinder head... a 2.4L engine would be a stroker wouldnt it? Wonder if that reduces the ability to rev?

 

be a good thing to road race/tarmac rally.
4 valve/twin cam?

would be very fast 100mph.
