It needs the 3yr/15K service--what does that run? The seller is not an authorized Ferrari dealer, so I can't get them to throw it in but I guess I can ask for a discount. Anyone have recent sale prices for '06s? Could I get an extended warranty? The in service date was May 13, 2006 so the factory warranty has just expired.

In order to help you with pricing we'll need a bit more info. such as mileage, condition, options, colors.

I spoke to the salesman today, and he said the car is in great shape. No dings etc. One small scuff on the drivers side, almost under the car. Other than that, no cosmetic issues. Two owners, but they don't have records. As I mentioned above, it needs the 3yr/15k service.

    Thanks in advance.

I have a customer looking to sell his '05, which has about 14,000 miles on it. It is Grigio Ingrid (champagne) on black. It is immaculate. If you have an interest in it, PM me and I will send you details and photos. Can probably get it done for $145ish........

No, I do not have any affiliation with this car. Was looking at this car, but finally decided to buy another 06 612 at the Ferrari of NP instead since it was a local car and a local dealer. Believed it was offered around 165K-170K 2 months ago.

In this economy, offer less than $140K. If you are serious, you will get a counter offer.

MG told me they've had the car for 3 weeks, so I can't see them getting desperate yet. That being said, I do think there's room below $169K.

How far did you get with the seller? Did you have it inspected?

At that time, during my research, I was only looking at the car, did not pursue any further, due to color and price.

Just sold my mid-06 612, 10,300 miles, TdF over Cuoio, first registered owner after 4k miles as a Ferrari executive car. Daytonas, 19 inch wheels, nav, other custom touches, freshly performed 15k service (as of this week). No extended warranty.

Buyer paid $149k, which I (obviously) considered a fair price.

IMHO an Ingrid '05 with 14k miles is seriously overpriced at 145k...

The good news is that I now have a 599! Obviously tastes vary, but it's a grail car for me.

    Hope that helps.

    Best,

    Gary

Hey, Adam! Astro the dog will be sitting in the back of Lorrie's new Audi A4 Avant that's coming next week -- which will be a color oddly similar to TdF. Lorrie's already referring to it as her "612." I trust that you and your family are still loving your real 612 -- had it not been for, er, minor setbacks in my retirement fund, I might have tried to hang on to mine.

I'll work on some watch/car photos, and post either here or over at our other place. BTW, did you see my recent post about our visit with the man from Finland? Very excited to hear about your 27! Still kicking myself about passing on one, but if someone else who really really wanted it got it, it worked out best for everyone.

Not to go too far off-topic here, but I had some recollection that you were in line for a custom piece -- if you're in the mood to share further, perhaps a PM?

    All the best,

    Gary

Where did you advertise your car, and where did the buyer find you?

Most of the 612s I've been looking at are at dealers. I am close to buying one from a private seller, and I'd like a backup plan if this falls through.

Let me know what you buy - I am curious to see where the market is - but keep in mind if you can find a late 06 I suggest this only to get the car in shape while under warranty / then buy an extended warranty.

The one I am close to buying is a late '06 with several more months of warranty coverage. Any idea what the warranty extension runs? The seller said $4500 for 3-years which seems low, but I have nothing but gut to base that on.

If finalized, I will let you know the price if you're interested.
