As constructed by a guy that works for me based on something he heard on NPR. He tried to add bacon and a fried egg, but the grill at the lunchroom was closed. Yes, he ate it all.

He said he'd do it again. But he's waiting for hot Krispy Kremes for next time.

I personally would have used one donut, cut in half. This reminds me of a lunch-time McGriddle or something of the sort, being that it is both savory and sweet.

Believe it or not, a single Krispy Kreme original glazed has roughly the same calorie content as a McDonald's hamburger bun, about 250. So really, using Krispy Kreme(s) for a burger holder isn't really that extraordinary with regard to calories. It's just a bit mentally disturbing.

Scary that this thread got resurrected today. I made plans this afternoon to visit the office where this guy resides, and promised him I'd try to find the Krispy Kremes if he'd promise to find the fried egg and bacon. So where are the Krispy Kreme shops in the North Chicago 'burbs?

I can assure you I'll take photos if it happens! :)

    I'm hungry!

I think I have to try this one day. With at least bacon.
