CREPALDI was the most important Ferrari Dealer of Milano.
All the Ferrari´s sold by Crepaldi incorporated it .

 

Ryan the current owner agrees with you and has done that.

But, it if was put there when the car was delivered, I would have a tendency to just leave it there. It speaks to the car's history as efe360 points out.

Here is a 288 GTO that was stolen once-upon-a-time.

The authorities recovered it and returned it to its rightful owner.

Although why he didn't go with the Megaphone pipes I don't know. I can see a fairly big muffler box within the mesh screens.
