    Love my recently purchased, lightly used 599, with one exception -- I've gotten spoiled on other cars having rear parking sensors and this car doesn't have 'em.

    Question: can these be retrofit to the existing bumper? I've looked at the parts diagrams on the Ricambi site and it looks as if the "no sensor" bumper has the internal markings/cutouts for the sensors (at least in the drawing).

    If I would need to buy a whole new bumper, no thanks -- but if I can buy four sensors, a few cables and grommets, and be in business (with professional installation) I'd be all over it.

    Thanks for any help you can supply.

    Best,

    Gary

    I would also be interested in knowing this.

    Does anyone have any info on the matter?

    You can do anything you like Gary! :):)

    Go see a good auto electrician and they should be able to wire some in for you. :):)

    Nah, just duct-tape kittens to the bumper and stop at the screeching.

    It can be done... All the 599's I have worked on had them so I cant say I have done it on that car but we have done 430's....we match the paint perfectly and they are so flush that the dealer didnt even know they were not factory installed.

    I thought all 599s had rear parking sensors, and only the fronts were an option? Or is that just the 612? Either way, I can't imagine life without them!

    Thanks, All! Appreciate the insights, although I don't think my wife the Veterinarian will go for the kitten idea...

    I find it hard to live without the sensors as well. The first owner of the car made some brilliant (IMHO) design and option choices, but some curious ones as well (no electrochromic mirror, no rear sensors). Gotta have 'em!

    Hey are those aftermarket exhausts? I'm pretty sure the ones that come with the car are silver. I think the bronzish colour you have really matches the red well!

    Sensors are option.
    PARK=rear only, $1300 ish
    PAR2=F&R, $2100 ish

    Look at the new Maser sensors hidden in grille, could put side corner ones in side marker lamps. Only issue I have is how sensors lok, but you need them. Software probably onboard, but wiring may be issue tying into loom.
