Onno, I wish you many happy miles in your GTC. Over the past 30+ years I have owned 2 GTCs. My 1st, sn 10851 was silver/blue. I drove it over 100k miles in 9 yrs of ownership. Twenty years after yearning for another I acquired my current GTC in blu/black, sn 9593. I am working on it now and will try my best to make it look as nearly as nice as the one you just acquired. You will find the GTC a great all round car. I too have had Marnellos [3] and also a BB 512. So it seems we have the same taste in Ferraris! I still find the GTC to be my favorite car to drive.....whether around town or for a spirited drive. Congratulations and may all the best miles lie ahead!
Congratulations on a great car. Will look superb in the Revival car park (Even as a 67, I'm sure you will be able to get into the pre 66 parking)!
You eagle-eyed dog, you! Actually, according to the 330register it should be one of the last built in 1966... Wonderful! I really like the vast differences between these cars, and I'm very glad to have found a kindred spirit! You have many more wonderful miles too! @all - thank you for all the heartfelt warm messages. We had some rain today, but the evening was just wonderful. I got, after the hectic heavy traffic had cleared, an opportunity to drive her a bit more spirited and boy, when you open her up she stops singing and is letting out a wonderful battle cry. You then realise this is not an Aston or Jag, it is a Ferrari and the racing pedigree shows itself in all its glory. She is very easy to drive and just an allround wonderful experience. A real sense of occasion. The lovely light in the evening allowed to take me some shots. I hope you enjoy them. All the best - I will sleep very well tonight!! Onno, A couple of years ago there was a very nice 365GTC in the pre-66 car park at Revival, so you shouldn't have a problem. I could spend a whole day in that parking lot! Congratulations on your acquisition. I've owned 10767 for about four years and it's my first (and probably only) Ferrari. I did a lot of research just on the models I was interested in, even before I started investigating individual GTCs. I'm sure you'll enjoy the car enormously, and welcome to vintage ownership! Jack.
Onno: with you and Jimmy getting new [old]babies, I'm like, ya' know, VERY Envious. CONGRATS guy......post more PICS and driving experience....was wondering when you were going to post this ... rik
Fantastic! Congratulations on a great choice. Bleu Sear (evening blue) has a fine metallic which can pick up the highlights of different light sources and change it ever so slightly. Very tasteful on vintage Ferrari. I love the mags much better than the Borrani Wires, gives the 330 a stronger stance.
Very nice car Onno, I had the honour to see it in real life yesterday and I am so impressed, enjoy this beauty! (Nice shots)
I agree - also like these Campagnolos better. Thanks for the tips - I'm not sure which passes we'll take but I hope the Stelvio is one of them. I was at the foot of it 3 weeks ago in my 550 and it was still closed... Still have not driven it! Onno
"Grappig, over 2 dagen zit ik achter het stuur van die 330 GTC... Schitterend exemplaar." Onno, Here are some pics the car wich is now in your possesion. Was the blond lady also included in the buying price?? Please would you be so kind to inform Pieter about "the lady". Congrats Onno! She is absolutely stunning. Very nice photo's! Guys, I have seen the car yesterday when Onno picked her up. Must say this about the 330: IN PERFECT STATE!

Almost every pass is open now, very early this year: http://www.swissinfo.ch/ger/verkehrsinfo/index.html?siteSect=490 Should be a wonderful trip, best wishes.
Onno, I did the same....retired the Borranis from the road and found a good set of Campys and proper knock-ons and had them restored. It may be my imagination, but the car seems to drive better with the Campys. Jack.
Well, I've done close to 700kms already in this car and I'm getting to know her more intimately now. Some impressions: Firstly: she really pulls well - that engine sings and sings. But she's also very tractable at low revs. Where my Boxer is rather moody, this car is very happy to potter around town. For most of the driving in and about town, you don't get much of a sense of it's "Ferrariness". It's fairly quiet and comfortable, but above 5,000 rpms she lets out a wonderful roar that really lets you know this is a Colombo engine and racing pedigree is what she epitomises. The noise in tunnels is fantastic - although you can't hear much when your mate in the Challenge Stradale is in front of you... High speed driving is also very impressive. I've had her up to and indicated 120mph and she really feels solid and very happy to drive that speed for days. You are aware that you have '60ies disc brakes, though, and anticipation is the name of the game. But she still pulls very strongly at that speed - the topspeed of 143mph (Car and Driver, 1967) is certainly very believable. When you rev the engine a lot, the amount of heat coming through the bulkhead to toast your feet is quite impressive. The aircon worked in the morning, to alleviate that problem (slightly) but I couldn't get it to do what I wanted in the afternoon. Wonder what's going on there. What makes the car most special, though, is the whole sense of occasion when you drive her. You're actively involved with everything, scanning dials, having to switch on fans in traffic jams, managing the Autoflux, minding the warming up of gearboxes and so on. It's a lot of fun! One thing that is very different from my 365BB - speaking of warming up gearboxes - is that you have to be careful using engine braking. The gearbox switches very, very, smoothly but it does not like going into a high rev range when downshifting, particularly in 1st and 3rd. This is very much unlike my Boxer, which does not mind at all. It improves if the oil is thoroughly warmed up, but never quite goes away. Finally, I noticed that she's quite reasonable to drive in torrential rain - unfortunately we hit a massive downpour yesterday. Hopefully she won't have to deal with that too often. Tomorrow we head for Switzerland - can't wait to try those Alpine passes! Onno
