http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090610/ap_en_tv/us_tv_futurama_returns_2 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Futurama AP reports Comedy Central has ordered 26 episodes of the show and that Fox may license it out for broadcast to another network. If you remember the show it was equal parts dumb, satire, and distopia wityh a lowly delivery boy cryogenically frozen on NYE 1999 and thawed in the year 3000. His best friend is a booze drinking, misanthropic vulgar robot named Bender. One of the exec producers is in my other car clung for Volvo p1800s and has a striking resemblence (in the right light) to the lead character, Fry.
wasn't there a P1800 (or a car loosely based on one) in one of the episodes? anyway, great news! very underrated/overlooked show.
yes there was, it was the producer's car. it was digitized at innovx and appears in one episode where amy and fry crash and his head ends up on her body. The car pops up in the background of many other episodes. http://forums.swedespeed.com/zerothread?id=118371 I listed a screencap of it. http://img48.imageshack.us/img48/8185/000231ql2.jpg http://www.gotfuturama.com/Multimedia/FrameGrabs/2ACV07/Grabs/pic00051.jpg http://www.gotfuturama.com/Multimedia/FrameGrabs/2ACV07/Grabs/pic00123.jpg
