Hello, I just joined Ferrari Chat. I have been working with my Ferrari Dealer on purchasing a Ferrari, they sent me here for some very good advice. I have only owned one Ferrari, a 355 which I sold in '99. Basically my sports car setup would be: A luxury convertible (SLR, maybe replacing with Bugatti Grand Sport) Top of the line, most tech advanced car to be used on the track on and on the road (Enzo, 430 Scud, or 599) Pure driver, has to be a 6-Speed, (CGT, F40 or F50) So which one, Enzo, 599 or 430 Scud? Not only looking for opinions, but for facts. Then for the other two, I know the answers may be biased considering this is a Ferrari site, but which one, a CGT, F40 or F50? The thing I like about the CGT and F50 is that you can take the top off, which adds to the experience of pure driving. Thanks for you time, Robert Dyer
hmm... so you're looking to purchase three of the most expensive cars in the world? Something isn't adding up.
Interesting....most people who can afford one of them can afford all of them. I sense a visit by the good Dr....
I recommend the F-50. I have one, and it has been the most reliable automatic carriage I have ever owned. Mine has been classiche certified with 214,759 miles, and no repairs other than scheduled maintenance. I have also owned a CGT, but sold it after 2 days because it was a Camry compared to my F-50.
I noticed this in your signature/quote, can you translate this pls: "La storia si scrive con un pizzico di verità ...e molta fantasia" - Enzo Ferrari thanks
I think there is a smell here that can only be removed by a picture of yourself and the SLR holding a sign that calls me a wanker.
Exactly, I mean, why not just buy all 3? 599 - daily driver, Enzo - investment, Scud - track car. Makes perfect sense to me! I guess school is out for the summer.
I also need help deciding between a Shelby Mustang and an F430. Both make 500hp but which is easiest to mod and which is best for picking up girls? Thanks in advance.
There is a guy about three threads down who is starting a California replica with a GT40 Ford engine, Aaya... You could have the best of both. He did not say, as far as I could see, if it was to be a new California or an older California.
I hear there is a F50 that needs nothing more than a wax job which may be available at a slight discount in Lexington Kentucky.
Hmmmmm .............. car guy, 1 post, large car budget and cannot decide what to buy .............................. .......... I will guess about 17 years old.
Also has the budget for an SLR and will upgrade to a Bugatti Gran Sport! If this guy walked into a dealership I owned, I wouldn't be sending him here, I'd be trying to sell him every super extotic I could get my hands on! Something definitely sounds fishy when the only car he has owned, exotic wise, was a 355 and is now making the jump to million dollar cars.
