Can anyone tell me if the VIN of this 1995 F50 is the first F50 produced?

Technically, yes, 103097 is 001/349, but there were 'pre-production' F50s that came before 103097.

Was it the first or last F50 that had the yellow pinstripe?

The first one - 103097 - to mark it as the first.

Wasn't the 1st F50 delivered to Mike Tyson?

It was for sale last year IIRC

Can't remember the dealerships name though.

The earliest F50 sent to America was serial number 3 built for a racing driver. He specifically asked for serial #3 to match his serial #3 Jaguar XJR 15 race car and Ferrari complied. One of the very few people to actually purchase his F50 rather than the more common 'lease arrangement' that Ferrari demanded of US customers.

Interesting, would the yellow pinstripe be on both sides of the car? The reason I'm asking is because I didn't see it on it.

Yes, it should be on both sides of the car. I don't know if it's removable, but I can't imagine anyone removing it. Where did you view the car...?

Much to my surprise, I don't have a picture of 103097. So I went to Google Images and typed in '103097' (I keep the filter turned off) and the search yielded amazingly random and bizarre results. I was sidetracked for an hour!

Its a very thin yellow stripe, just under the black rubber stripe that goes all around the car...Very very thin. It was to honor Beurly's relationship with Ferrari.

Ok, thanx. I see it now that I know where to look. I haven't seen the car in person, just pics of it.

    Who is Beurly?

Jean Blaton was the owner of the first F50 . I heard this last week-end during a Ferrari meeting.

Thanks for posting the pix. I was too lazy to google it myself :)

And thankfully, it isn't made out of wood - I've been waiting for
that to pop up in this thread!

Nope, I just doubted it was the first one off the line to the public. But apparently, it is.

It is now in FL, the present owner also has a 288 GTO.
