Does anyone have thoughts/opinions for tires on a 348 (1995) It seems that the Goodyear F1 and Michelin pilot's are both well rated. Bridgestone Potenza's are what are on there now and need replacing. I'm buying a set of 18" wheels so the tires will be one step up from the current ones. It's about performance and handling for spirited driving and noise level and rut management for more casual driviing. Checked Tire Rack and opinoins are all over the place.

Nitto NT555, Goodyear Eagle F1's and Michelin Pilot Sports in that size are all great tires that you could be happy with. The Nitto NT555 won't last long as they have a soft compound, but get sticky very quickly. PM me if you have further questions!

The Goodyear eagles are better for the 3x8 cars. The Bridgestones are good for the 348 and 355. The Michelin pilot sport are probably the best but will cost more than the Bridgestones. Try 295 35 18 rears and 245 40 18 Front....your car will handle and look better with these sizes.

I have said it over and over again but there doesn't seem to be anyone who agrees with me. (LoL)

I bought Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetrical (NOT the GSD3s) tire--which are Made in Germany--and not only are they awesome in grip but they are noticably quieter (2 f-mechanics have commented on this, also).

They are not cheap but they are comparable (price-wise) to the PS2s, etc.

I spent many hours researching tires when I first bought my 355. I also purchased a pair for my BMW 330ci ZHP and they are phenomonal on that car, too.

    Just my .02
