Last years was great in my opinion, large variety, however I don't remember many Ferrari's or Lamborghini's. Anyways, I'll be spectating this year as well!

    "Sunday, June 14
    Noon-4 p.m.
    Free Admission for Spectators
    Cooper Aerobics Center

At Autos in the Park, expect to see a wide range of collectible cars from vintage Rolls-Royces to muscle cars to faster-than-a-speeding-bullet super cars. All displayed on the lushly landscaped grounds of Cooper Aerobics Center in Dallas."

The Italian Car Club of the Southwest will be there with its mix of all types of Italian cars. I went with the club last year and the Italian area had several Ferrari models, a historic Lamborghini (sorry if I forget its model type), a few Maserati, plus the usual mix of Alfa's, Lancia's and Fiat's.

The Ferrari dealer even had a display at the show. I remember this because I went up to him and asked if Boardwalk Auto Group was going to become my future Alfa Romeo dealer. He gave a smile and said he hoped so. If he had said no, but your Chrysler dealer will be one in a few years, I would have muttered something like yea, right and turned away.

Proceeds from this show benefit Texas Scottish Rite Hospital & The Cooper Institute. My son has seen doctors at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital over in Oak Lawn for several years and I am glad to help this show out. So please come out and display if you can.

    Cheers,

    Jeff

Yes, that is the one. Its silver, which is the best colour for that car in my opinion. The owner is a member of our club and is a great guy. The ICCSW will have a tent set up with some chairs, soft drinks and snacks, so swing by and say hello if anyone gets a chance.

    Cheers,

Great show, nice location and quite comfortable in the shade. Here is the Auburn that won best of show. Lots of variety and great cars.

I was not familiar with the Auburn and after a quick google it looks like it might be a replica. I just took a quick look and not up close. Inquiring minds want to know. My vote was for the Lusso.

Here is the link to the auburn speedsters replicas. There were so many great cars there it would be a shame to pass off a replica as a real car and list it as a 1936 if it is in fact a 1987 replica. Its fine to have a replica but please list it as so. That is worse than a 250 TR made from a donor 250 GTE. I hope I am wrong on this.

That's a disappointment. I was wondering why the interior looked so incredibly clean, speaking of incredibly clean, what about that 250 Lusso? It looks like they just drove it off the showroom floor!

The Lusso is a fresh Bob Smith restoration and was at Cavallino and is heading to Pebble Beach. Beautiful car and should have been Best of Show if the Auburn is indeed a replica. The old Rolls was amazing as well just on its massive size alone.

They did! He had just picked it up from Bob Smith Coachworks.

What a great show and some tremendous cars. Here are a few interesting cars and some "period" cars.

The Lusso was my choice for best of show also. It was just spectacular.

    it was a replica.....real Auburn's don't have tilt wheel.

the Lusso or 1937 Triumph would have gotten my vote.

Looks like I missed out again, I should have made the trip out there. What a shame though about the Auburn replicar taking best of show over a Lusso, that makes no sense to me. How was the voting performed, public's choice or by the Cooper Clinic staff?

Owners that registered a car received a ballot. I don't think Cooper staff had any say.

I think alot of us assumed that was a genuine (restored) vehicle from the 30's.
