Finally our brand new 1/8 scale two foot long McLaren F1 LM model is ready. This model was done based on the ultra rare Papaya Orange XP1/LM in conjunction with McLaren and is fully licensed. It was made using CAD & CAM files from the factory and is absolutely perfect in every detail. Only 99 have been made, each one complete with carbon fiber case, edition plaque and plexi cover. The engine bay opens on special gas struts to reveal the awesome miniature V-12. Each model comes with a book on the car, signed by designer Gordon Murray. A few images are below.

    Available for CAN$6250 / US$5595 / €3950 + shipping.

Also en route in just 2 weeks is the 1/12 scale (15" long) 1995 McLaren F1 GTR "Ueno Clinic" LeMans winner, edition of 20. If you haven't reserved one let me know as few are left! We also have an original Owner's Manual for the F1 Roadcar and brochures for it and the F1 GT, enquire.

Finally our newly redesigned website should be up and running in 3 weeks....double the present merchandise will be displayed.

You can order by phone, fax or e-mail with your name, full address, tel/fax number & VISA, M/C or AMEX # with expiry date. You may also send your credit card & expiry date 'broken up' in a few emails for additional security. We also accept some money orders and bank transfers.

    Regards,

    Morry Barmak

Funny I emailed Peloton but got no reply. I didn't expect an order, just some comments....I have more hi-res pix if anyone wants. I have had a fantastic response about this much anticipated model.

Saw your email this morning Morry, just did not have a chance to reply before running out the door. :)

The model is extremely impressive, but unfortunately I don't have those kinds of funds available for a display piece.

All the porportions and details look perfect to me. Given how you have explained the model was created, that doesn't come as a surprise. Very nice work and an excellent addition to many collections I am sure.

Some of my clients that own real McLaren F1s thought the pix I had sent were of the real car, not the model!

This is a fabulous model, don't get me wrong, but what was the thinking behind not having the doors open? Was it a cost issue or an engineering one or both?

It was a cost and transport issue. It would have added quite a bit to the price of the already expensive model, and would have made shipping difficult due to the fragility of the doors. Reducing the hinges to proper scale (unlike the Minichamps 1/12 hinges which are way out of scale, and still problematic) would have made for a flimsy door opening, which would be a nightmare to ship, and even more troublesome when clients 'play with it'.
