The ad makes it sound more like an opportunity to commission a second 118, not purchase an existing one (I thought there was just one?)... One thing is for sure; I will never tire of the 118!
agree: remember when this came out. liked the use of simplicity, openess, wood, [IIRC] stainless steel, and that way the bow split to reveal the play toys....keep that article in the garage: Awsome imagination.

Man that's so cool. Can you imagine THAT beast in monaco GP? That'd be the most awesome thing ever, A couple of friends all wearing pirate hats, eye patches, and offcourse cap'n Jaski with his parrot and model on his arm. You'd be the hit of monaco, and long be talked about. Just need to get the cash together and adopt pirate language. YES!

Was anybody else on Riva's mailing list in the seventies? They put out a very nice magazine and were tied closely to Ferrari. Still have the magazines stashed, I believe. As if a captain in the USAF could afford a Riva. Did have a Ferrari or three back then. Taz Terry Phillips
Here it is. 25M http://www.yachtworld.com/boats/2002/Wally-Power--1737770/Abu-Dhabi/United-Arab-Emirates What is the life span on these yachts?
Terry - Riva was never actually affiliated with Ferrari; it was really just a "marketing thing". Though if you looked on the masthead, Roll Royce owners were targeted also, and Riva was actually owned for a time by Rolls Royce Engineering (itself not affiliated with RR cars......). That said, there was a Riva Ferrari 32 in the early '90's, distinguished mainly by its wing. A half-hearted attempt at playing with the go-fast crowd. Ferrari Engineering did some of the early design work, but the boats were never Ferrari-powered; using 6.0 BPM V8's instead. Hang on to the old 'Symbols', they are collectable...... Tritone PS: anyone who could afford a Ferrari (or 3), could afford a Riva too! It's just a matter of intent.....
Check again. That photo you posted is of Dubai. Two different boats by different builders with different owners. Eclipse just came out of the builder's shed this week and it not yet completed.
unfinished one has 4 decks. the one with the blue helicopter has 3 decks. not the same boat based on that unless they added deck later.
