Sorry , I didn't even think to bring a camera , , , I hadn't mentioned it before but I do plan to bring my video camera on club days and hope to get some good stuff. I've made some videos on other stuff and have had a hit on my hands once...... all I have to do is sort out the editing -- a complete pain !

I agree with you. Three digits or less on brand new expensive cars looks rather crass, IMHO. These plates used to be a rare sight- and 5 and 6 digit heritage plates still are (not 'collectible' ). Almost every $200k+ car has one; it's as if a three digit plate (or less) is now a dealer-fitted option. Crass and common.

So in all fairness, what happens when the cars are no longer drivable or written off etc....... Surely like anything its just being passed on from one generation to the next.

I'm not one who would fork out big money for a number plate, thats just me but some like them. Those owners stopped the recent proposed relaese of more low digit numbers. I guess its a club.

 

my understanding was that the numbers to be released were of similar to low # heritage plates.

 

Yes, I think they started at 1, but were the newer style number plate with "Victoria" on them as oppossed to VIC. Obviously the font was slightly different. They are mentioned somewhere in this thread from memory.

 

Today near Kulangoor - Black Lexus SUV with "ICTIT" - thing was, I was heading home from the clinic with an icepack on my chest, so it was on the wrong car! True story I swear!
