Hi everyone, I sold my 08Viper and Iam looking at buying my first Ferrari...The car is a 04 360 F1 spyder on this site from Ferrari of Denver..It has 9K miles some nice options(challange grills, mod. wheels, daytona seats, etc) and a recent 15K major service(clutch was NOT replaced shows 93%)..Derek at FOD seems to be a straight up guy too..My big questions are is this model worth 124K..? and what are some things to look out for as far as this year 360 goes..? Its a one owner car and a no-hit history...Please let me know your thoughts good and bad..TIA...Kevin
color and options would help bro. but in the high teens low twenties would be a nice deal if the car was mint.
Rosso/NeroF1 Spyder..9K miles..Options include power Daytona seats with contrasting Red stitching and inserts, extended leather trim, red calipers, front and rear Challenge grilles, modular wheels, hi-fi stereo, fire ext..
sounds like a fair deal.. let me give you a small piece of advice... ive been a car dealer for years..used to play with luxury cars but now that the market is dead i play with whatver makes money... anyhow.... the way i see it is usually the way it is.... if you love the car and its a fair deal do yourself a favor and pull the trigger.. sure you may find another one out there for $5,000 less but sometimes it makes sense to pay a little more and give 'love at first sight' a chance. its not always about the savings but rather about buying what YOU REALLY want to buy.... im not the type to wait for a 'sale'... i see what i like and if it makes sense i pull the trigger.. no regrets yet... well maybe a few skanks i dated but nothing business related. even as a dealer i paid a bit extra for my 360 just because i instantly fell in love with the color combination.
man i would offer 105 man. no way is that car worth 125. get a 430 for that price. this is the best time to buy a car
LOL...I moved out here 5 yrs ago from NY...My wife IS NOT Mormon.lol..I have wanted a Ferrari since I was a small boy,52 now and just dont want my first Ferrari to be a nightmare but everything I asked or have seen in pics seems to add up..I see the dealer is a site supporter too... I have a BIG decesion to make because I have a 09 Viper ACR on order but I can get my deposit back..If I get the Viper its just MY car if I get the 360 it will be shared with the wife since we are getting rid of her 04 Z-4 to get it....I just dont want to go through marriages problems over a car,lol but I know she wont drive it much anyway as her Z4(red/black also) only has 3.6K on it!!!! Thanks for the advice...Kevin
you cant get a 430 sp for 125 but you could find a coupe close to that, or just offer 105 on the 2004 360. i bet you will be walking away with it. Just give it a try.
i hv to agree that 125k seems high, esp since clutch is 9k old. these f1 tranny lasts aabt 15k mi and costs abt $5-7k. $125k gets u a 05 430 coupe w slightly higher mileage. so how many cars will you end up with between ur wife and u? if u are sharing the car and its a 360, i'd rethink.
Yes, it sounds like a good deal... especially if you love THE CAR itself. Furthermore, it seems to have all the right options Good luck... no matter what price you pay for, it will all be worth it when you start driving it home ))
I just purchased a fully loaded red spider 5 months ago so I speak from experience. That car is priced at market. I bet 120 + tax & tags would take it. It is a fully loaded red F1 not a stripped down silver 6 spd. That car is beautiful and I'm sure it will move soon.
I live here in the Denver area and have seen the car many times at Ferrari of Denver. They have had the car for quite some time, now. Derek is a good guy and if you let him know you're serious about it, tell him to shoot his best deal to take it off the showroom floor. BTW the car is very nice, if it was what I was after, I would seriously consider it. Like the previous poster said, it has a clutch with 9K miles on it and will need a new one in about 6K miles. That will be your bargaining chip, so use it wisely.
I've been in contact with Derek, seemed like a pro. I've been on-off with this car for a few months, and have been watching it for many, many months. Lets just say if the price were more negotiable, I'd own it already. (I cant seem to find a red/tan 03+ Spider with 6sp, low miles).
are you sold on the 6 speed ? the f1 with the updated cs computer is a dream and really worth considering. this car is worth 105 110 max. not to mention the price on these cars are dropping as i type this. And trust me i am not happy about it. I own one myself. There are 04 coupes going for 100 that means you can get a 03 sp for 105. you can get a challenge stradale with 24k for 125 -135 right now. so 105 for a spider is right where you want to be. The ball is your court
Im not actively shopping but keeping my eye on things and watching what the EBay auctions close at. The price seems slightly high since you CAN get a 430 spider for $25k more. The difference between $125 and $150 really isnt much at all. I would say if you can swing $125k then move up to the 430. if not I dont see why you are looking at 04 360s. Might as well go for a 02 and save another $20k. You arent getting anything more by getting an 04. A well taken care of car is a well taken care of car.
Someone here once said if you are not EMBARRASSED by your offer than it is not low enough! Go in low and STICK TO IT....lots of fish in the sea.
Thanks for all the info. and comments..I was told they received a deposit on it for a 119K sale price...Threesixty love your choice of color which would be first on my list then red,Pozi blue.If I was ordering one here is my wish list.6spd or F1 is ok with me...Options..shields,challange grills, pwr.daytona seats, with contrasting belts/stitching,mod wheels,hi-fi stereo... I have time to look .... so how many cars will you end up with between ur wife and u? if u are sharing the car and its a 360, i'd rethink we would have 3 cars....X-5..335XI...Ferrari?
The only bench mark I can give you is FoA had an my 2004 F1 360 Spider on the market for $129k it probably sold for $120k. It had 9k miles and all the service needs met. I traded it on my 07 430 F1 Spider and what a difference. If you have the cash..go for the 430 Spider F1; you won't look back
I'm not trying to be a smart ass, but could anyone point me to these $125k-ish 430's? I've been keeping my eye out for one (any color coupe, 6spd non-F1 only) for the last month or so and haven't had much luck. It sure does seem like a buyers market, but most of the sellers (dealers included) I've talked to seem inclined to wait it out instead of selling their cars. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places... -mike
I'm in a yellow 360 spider now, and the next one (430 coupe or spider) will be Pozzi blue. They don't come up fully optioned like I want mine to be that often, so I'm looking already. Beautiful, non-metallic color! And you didn't want this 360 anyway; it didn't have factory shields!
some people dont think before they type... the only 430 for around $125 is gonna be a higher mileage one that needs some work or a one in a million steal.. surely you wont find such deal very easily.
