Carmelo Ezpeleta could be the figure FOTA turns to if the major teams decide to quit Formula One at the end of the year, according to the Spanish sports newspaper Diario AS. Ezpeleta is the CEO of Madrid-based Dorna Sports, the commercial rights holder of F1's two-wheeled equivalent MotoGP. Dorna was bought by CVC, F1's current owner, in 1998 but is now controlled by its management. It has been credited with transferring the rule-making power of the Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) to the GP Manufacturers Association (MSMA). The newspaper said the Formula One Teams Association has already had contact with Ezpeleta, who would be reportedly willing to take command of a breakaway series should the eight FOTA members decide to create their own. A few F1 drivers, including double champion Fernando Alonso and current titleholder Lewis Hamilton, have indicated their readiness to follow their teams into a new series. The fallout of the FIA's newly published 2010 entry list began without delay on Friday. Williams said it was 'pleased' to receive an unconditional entry, but for Ferrari and the two Red Bull teams, the reaction was starkly different. Ferrari said it has been named despite its 'previous written notice to the FIA not to do so', as the two sides no doubt now prepare to challenge the other's interpretation of a prior agreement. Red Bull and Toro Rosso each issued nearly identical statements, both rejecting their unconditional entries and pledging their ongoing commitment to FOTA and 'all its principles'. At the same time, a FOTA letter was dispatched to the World Motor Sport Council, seeking its assistance in resolving the conflict. David Richards expressed his disappointment that Prodrive was left off the entry list, as he believes his outfit has the necessary 'resources and set-up' and is now effectively waiting on a possible late entry. A similar statement issued by Team Lotus read: "We understand that in the event that any of the teams listed do not agree the terms imposed by the FIA, we are short-listed to fill any spots which become available. " Meanwhile, the prospective March F1 team told ESPN Racing-Live.com that they also hold out hopes of an entry next season and that the FIA has invited them to re-apply in the future. Much of the F1 world was surprised to see 'Manor Grand Prix' on the list, and it emerges that the outfit is a collaboration between the British F3 and Formula Renault outfit Manor Motorsport, and Nick Wirth. Wirth is a former Benetton technical chief, who ran the Simtek team with Max Mosley's involvement in the 90s. Today his Wirth Research facility builds racing simulators. It also emerged that Dallara will build the cars for the new Campos team, which will be based in Madrid. In total, 15 entries from potential new teams were received and processed by the FIA. If recent rumours are to be believed, an increasing tension has crept into the relationship between Red Bull Racing's team-mates. With the exception of the Brawn duo, Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber occupy the best car in the 2009 field, and their battle for third in the drivers' title is separated by just 1.5 points. After finishing behind his more experienced team-mate in Turkey two weeks ago, Vettel was clearly unhappy that his championship charge had been road-blocked by the Australian. "I don't think there is tension between Mark and Sebastian," David Coulthard, Webber's team-mate last year and now a consultant to the Milton Keynes-based team, said. The Scot, speaking from Lima, Peru, where he demonstrated an F1 car, said inter-team rivalry is just a normal part of the sport. "Of course you can't have two winners, so by definition if your team-mate is winning then you are losing. But that is a relationship that has always been the case in Formula One," Coulthard explained. Writing in his latest column for the BBC, meanwhile, Webber admitted that trying to beat the highly rated 21-year-old is a source of great motivation. "It's the first time I've had someone so quick as my team-mate, and I've always said that's what it's all about - at this level, you want to compare yourself to the best guys," he said. "Vettel is hot property at the moment and he's done a great job to get where he is but there's just a point and a half between us in the championship. "People ask me if I feel under pressure, but I think there's more pressure on Sebastian. In people's eyes, I'm not supposed to be doing what I'm doing. People think he's the new Schumacher and should be hosing it, but it's good that's not the case," added Webber. He said their relationship is intact even though they are both trying to get the upper hand. "The last two or three races have gone well for me and less well for Sebastian but things are fine between us," said Webber. He insists it is too early in the season for Red Bull to select one driver to push for the drivers' title. "You could throw it all in with Sebastian but he crashed in Monaco so you've still got to give both cars the best chance to get the best result possible," he concluded. Mark is a smart lad. He knows this season will make or break his career. I'm enjoying watching him aim for the podium.
+1 This season has really helped him stay in F1 in the near future* I just hope he can score 1 win! He really deserves it. * - assuming F1 still exists

You could tell after the China round that they weren't the best of friends. They didn't celebrate together at all. And Mark had a funny look on his face when SV was getting his trophy. You get the feeling that SV has a bit of arrogance about him, maybe a little too much. And Mark being an Aussie wouldn't like that.
That is good. I wonder how long the pit stop will take though, and will both cars have to pit at once.
Nata cha Gach nang, now there's a name to conjure with! Beumi's cousen or not commentators will struggle with that monlker.
