*yawn*
U should take my non6bit n mount it to the m7, then the 6bit to the m8. Dun forget m8 not totally full frame. Playing at retail store is waste of ur time. Just buy it n throw out what doesn't work
There are many ways of acting "rich"... this isnt, but then again its good that you out your thoughts here on a public forum so people can better understand you
Nah, Schumi isn't the proper/true Stig. His stance and walk is very much different from the White Stig of seasons of old. Especially at the end, where the credits listed Michael Schumacher as "Guest Star" and The Stig as "Presenter"
Hi Lung, base on my research, Leica cameras add some kind of "magic" quality to the pictures, it seems like a top end camera for hardcore enthusiast Pros 1) Really stunning pictures in the hands of an experienced photographer 2) 8.2 models has a S switch which automates everything so not much trouble with 3) Quality you can only get from prime lens Cons 1) Its not as ergonomic as the modern DSLR 2) Low light performance is not good and it takes longer to focus than Nikon or Canons 3) No zoom lens so its quite a hassle to keep changing lens 4) Only Manual focus, so quite tedious if one is not used to fiddling 5) Expensive lens. Ave price about US$3-4k and you would need at least 3, 28mm, 50mm and 90mm so thats abt US$10k just for lens which is IMO a silly price unless you are taking pictures for a living. 6) Looks like an old fashioned camera that your grandpa could have used (from a layman point of view) IMHO its something nice to have but for that kind of price I could get a 1x Nikon D3X or 1x Canon 1DMark3 or Two bodies, Nikon D700 & Canon 5dMark2 with enough spare change to get lots of lens to play with http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/read.asp?forum=1038&message=30887276 http://www.flickr.com/photos/10268776@N00/ Many people who want to invest in expensive cameras would rent one for a week or two to ensure that they are making the right decision, this is a Singapore forum where you can rent anything you can think off...for instance a Nikon D3X you can rent at S$150/day to test out the functions to see if the camera suits you. But of course there are instances where people rent the cameras and brag to their friends that they "own" it You can rent Leicas too. http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/
oh of course some would do it different "Playing at retail store is waste of ur time. Just buy it n throw out what doesn't work" LOL Everyone has a different style of doing things, that I understand, but IMHO any purchases should be made with intelligent informed choices, it brings greater satisfaction at the end of the day....I am sure SF would add some of his camera knowledge when he comes in.
Perhaps the Fchat Brudderhood should take over the running of the club. The first thing that we will implement is monthly meetings at coffee shops/hawker centres instead of $200/pax meals at some swanky joint.
