Thanks to all!
That would be the coolest adventure for a private Ferrari-team in decades! NART would be a proper name for the team!!!!!! for an entree at.... " LE MANS"!!!!!!!! Financing could be possible... TV-rights and sponsoring could raise "some" cash.. And you'll be ending up with a "NEW" P-Ferrari with racinghistory!!! This is one of those very few " crazy" ideas that could be reality with the right people and suppliers backing..
Will P4/5 be making an appearance at the FCA meet this summer? I'd love to get a chance to see it in person.
Hi No. I'll be at Meadowbrook with 0846 and Dino Competizione. She will likely be at Lime rock on Labor Day Sunday. Best
Would this mean turning the current P4/5 into Competizione, or would it mean an entirely new car specifically for racing? That's gorgeous!
So were we... Together with Edo Competition and a Malaysian racing team we were investigating if it was possible and in which international class any coachbuilt one-off could compete. I think the GTX class should be revived which could be a success. Imagine the line-up on the grid: NART P4/5, various Callaway Corvettes, Spada Codatronca Competizione, maybe a 575 GTZ LM and of course our GTO of "Ecurie Vandenbrink". Jim, I'll race you. Long time ago I started a thread about reviving the GTX class: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=166518&highlight=GTX Nice avatar, Jim!
Michael: I continue to say, to anyone who will listen, that your designs are amazing. I wish I had your talent. Keep posting beautiful pictures.
Jim, I think you know how awesome this is and how excited we would all be for it. Best wishes in getting this to work. If anybody can do it, it's you.
Visualizing the dream... I think a FIA GT Maserati MC12 would be a fine base. In this image I have elongated the tail, stretched the nose a bit, added the necessary racy bits and of course NART striping. Image Unavailable, Please Login
