Geez, looks like he dropped it in the garbage disposal or something, haha. Very nicely done Chris. What did you use to do that? Polishing cloth or something? Rotary buffer? :p

Looks like a 1920's (or 30's) pocketwatch conversion. There is a whole collection of people that follow and collect this type of watch. Once the Wristwatch became popular - and people had the older large pockets. They would convert them to wrist, specifically around WW1. Hard to carry a pocket watch during battle - and the big size made it easier to see.

This one looks pretty good - could have been a factory conversion, or well done one at that. Look at the lugs - do you see any sign of it being modded (AKA lugs attached).

Usually you would see the winding mechanism at the top like a typical pocket.

    Thanks for the kind words.

Definitely not done with a cloth :)

    Hello Mr Wallace,

I did inspect it more last night under a loop.
I can see where the hinge was taken out and polished. Amazing conversion! Very well done.
The lugs looks like they belong there, it truly is amazing how well this is put together.
Also the hands appear to be custom. Slightly different angles at the tips.
    It's growing on me :)

    Thanks for the help :)

    Chris
