from autosport this morning - interesting..... Brawn's deputy technical director Joerg Zander has left the team. The German joined the outfit, when it was Honda, in July 2007, having had spells at BAR, Williams and BMW-Sauber. Zander helped play a role in creating Brawn's successful BGP 001, which has won six of the first eight races of the season. A Brawn GP spokeswoman confirmed Zander had left last Friday. "Joerg contributed significantly to our success so far this season for which we thank him and wish him all the best for the future," she said. Carol
Interesting indeed. Part of me says "uh-oh - The first signs of egos at BGP?" OTOH, these guys are pretty much switching teams all the time so it may not be a big deal. It'll be interesting to see where he surfaces - I believe they'd have said something if it was the traditional "gardening leave" for the rest of the season..... Cheers, Ian
I'd guess that after this season's results up to this point he's probably worth significantly more than whatever his current contract is paying him...
Unless Brawn find some good money, more of this to happen and tempt those directly related to the development of the car. It is a good machine.
