Maybe USF1 is really UsF1, as in 'A bunch of Us are forming an F1 team.
a bunch of us are forming an F1 team??? What the hell does that mean? is that an insult? I cant even tell
Great analogy Jack! ! ! one of the best ones yet!!! With the recent word from Max, that's true!! if FOTA does what they really need to do, then it will be just "A bunch of US forming an F1 team" that will compete with FTF1 teams - (Few'Them F1 teams). Carol
I always love the "no wonder the rest of the world hates us" claim. I never knew we were running a popularity contest. Further, having traveled beyond the borders, does not seem that is an accurate statement unless you happen to be in a cave sorting poppy seeds. Let a country (or continent, ie Africa or any natural disaster stricken area, countrymen seeking indepemdence from tyranical leaders) need a helping hand or defending and we are speed dial #1. Perhaps you have an issue with your country, if that is the case, so be it. It is one of the many things that make it great. I'll gracefully accept my band now, especially if you are involved with US F1 and your prevailent view point. Best C
Let's not go overboard with the "US" cliches about a start-up F1 wannabe. This is just more name-dropping: trying to emulate Gurney's "American Eagle" entries. Nothing to see here (yet) -- move along. (These aren't the droids you're looking for. )
I have many friends across the pond and from their point of view we arent looked at all that well. That is where my comment comes from. To be fair they are just as guilty given the recent ego wars in F1. They would have said all kinds of stuff about us if we were pulling this crap in NASCAR or Indy. Hell there are even a few people from outside the US on here that have made some comments that were similar. If you would kindly drop that one line from my post "no wonder the rest of the world hates us" I think my post makes a lot of valid points. I just think it is funny that the US starts an F1 team and all the Ferrari Chat Experts come out of the wood work because they have been watching F1 for soooo long and they have read all this stuff so they have it all figured out. I think its funny that two guys cant start an F1 team but you all think the world I am sure of Ron Dennis and Frank Williams or Ross Brawn, hell even Enzo Ferrari himself. Who the hell were they when they just started? It is just sad that when new blood tries to enter the sport they get all this backlash and critisizim. The biggest point I was trying to make is why everyone is so quick to judge after reading one article and not having all the facts. How many of you want to place a bet on where their Euro base is going to be? and who the drivers are? I bet you the base wont even be at Paul Ricard and that they wont even run two American drivers and the one American will NOT be Danica.
