My 01 360 Spider Air cond quit working. The condensor in the front right "nostril" had damage from rock chip ingestion. Replaced that. Stopped working again 3 days later. Leak from somewhere.
The compressor was found leaking at the flange located about halfway on the body of the compressor. OK, so now that's being replaced. My question is this: Is this common to the 360 and any
other comments/precautions I should take concerning the air cond system?

    Thanks in advance,

Did you have the system evacuated after replacing the condenser? Try this. Evacuate and recover the refrigerant if any still remains. replace or repair the compressor. Evacuate to the point of boil down. After the predetermined amount of vacuum to achive boil down has been reached. Let the car sit a bit with the gauges on it to see if the vacuum level drops before filling with refrigerant. If it does drop you still have a leak. The receiver/ dryer could have been compromised due to moisture after the refrigerant leaked out. moisture inside an AC system is a problem in regards to AC system seals. also causes freeze up and other issues.

It seems odd that you would acquire two leaks in such a short time window.

    Bad luck??
