agreed. The first set of photo's in which the California looks good. Love the combo of color (inside and outside) and wheels.

Anyone else find this car's design growing on them by the day?! It took a bit but I'm really seeing a classic piece of design in the Cal now.
The first two pictures are from the California at FoSA, the last is the one at Boardwalk Ferrari in Dallas. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Arrived at the dealer on Thursday, I get to pick it up tomorrow. However... I made a major mistake and forgot to order the Scuderia Shields. I'm a little upset because I always order shields, and for some reason (complete brain fart on my part) I didn't. Please give me your opinion on the important of Shields and/or if you think I should pressure the dealer to help me out with the cost of new fenders (with shields). There is some small dispute between the dealer and me as to who forgot to order the shields... Did you get this car at Lake Forest? if so I saw your car when it came in. I just picked up my F430. My wife and I wondered why you did not get the shields on the car. Overall it really looks great with the yellow sticking inside. I would not worry about not having the shields. I think that color does not need them
Nice car! I think the sheilds work on the Cali, esp since this car has yellow accents inside and out. But others find that next to the side grills, the sheilds are too busy visually. I think that the standard wheels, which a lot of people strongly dislike, actually look pretty good on a black car - the fat silver spokes seem to work nicely with the black car. (One way to save $4,400). Give us a review on how she drives!
I like it without the shields. but its a personal choice, and you gotta drive the car you want... btw is that Nero Daytona?
I like it without the shields. Shields, calipers, and center caps are never the same yellow. I'm too anal about it but it can be distracting at times when you see 3 different yellows.
Thanks for the feedback everyone! Jeff: The reason I ordered the yellow stitching and calipers was to match the Shields. My F430 was all red (as is my Maserati) and I wanted to change it up a bit. But, its good to hear you think the different yellows is a distraction. Makes me feel better about the mistake. Guyincognito: Yes, metallic black. Its become my staple color, I just love it. Clockem: Yes, got the car at Lake Forest. Which F430 did you get? I traded my Nero 2007 F430 in on this car and noticed it was gone. Was curious if someone local got it. Will post a review and more pictures when I get it at Noon today!
I got the Red F430 Spider (the 2009) which had the piping. Your car was sold late last week. A local guy came in and bought it. Your Cali looks great and we are on the list for a Cali and really love it in black. We still have not decided on the color for the Cali between "dark blue" or black. It will not be red to match the 430.
My Cali is scheduled to arrive in Sept. Ordered shields on Rossa Mugello paint. Have to say that your car looks great as is; makes me think I don't need shields. On this beautiful car either configuration is OK. Let us know your thoughts on the drive. Congratulations - you got me more excited with your enthusiasm!
JGETZ- Nice wheels! I almost got the same combo but went with Nero Daytona with Tan interior, diamond pattern seats and black piping...I got the shields and the yellow calipers too. My car was right behind yours on the plane I believe. Supposed to be at LFSC today? Hope to pick up saturday at the latest... Enjoy and hope to see you around town.
My dealer told me it was $3,800 to fly the car in to Philly. Don't know if the cost would be higher for the midwest. I decided to wait for the "late August, early September" delivery.
Hi Everyone: Car was delivered yesterday so I spent a few hours driving it around and can tell you it is both AWSOME and totally different than any other Ferrari. While I love the car, I can see why it has sparked so much discussion. Ill write a full review this weekend. The dealer has offered to attach the shields to the fenders at no charge (see original post). Only concern and question is if any of you have an opinion. Remember, even though the shields are factory originals and will be attached professionally they will not be partially recessed since the fenders dont have the 2mm shield recess in them. Thoughts? Im on the fence Below are some delivery pictures. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'd leave it as is..........looks beautiful. When you look at the car as a "whole", you don't even notice that it does not have shields.
