    Question,
I have just adjusted the shift cables to get stick dead center, while doing that I noticed a tad bit of play on the shift linkage mostly on the 2 pivot points that attach to the case.. Question, is this: Is there suppose to be a tad bit of play at the pivot points or are they a precise tight fit with no play...(which would signal a worn sleeve/bushing).

Hope this makes sense what point I am talking about, its the levers that are held by 1 bolt that attach to the case and basically serve as a pivot point for the linkage to the shift rod... There are 2 of these.

On Ricambis parts sheet would be part number 171677 2 ROLLER BEARING (this looks like the part that would decide if the linkage arm is tight or a tad of play)..

    Thanks in advance

Thes do wear, and do indeed give play. It's hard to tell what kind of play you do have over the internet, but anything more than a tiny bit is worth investigating. Grease well upon re-assembly. (not with that crappy white grease!!).
