This pics are from -81 and i did take a look at that car when it was for sale at Autohallen in Gothenburg. It was Purple and White and sale price was 680.000SEK, very much money in thoose days.
Purple and white - this colour combination still was original ! Two LP400 were made in that combination. Did you make photos when you saw the car? I am very interested in further photos of the purple car. I was interested in 1120248 end of 1998. At that time the car was black / white and I was told that it originally was purple. The owner decided not to sell the car. Two or three years later he changed his mind and sold the car. The new owner then changed the livery to giallo / naturale.
Sorry i dindnt own a camera when i was 15 years old, i remeber i went by moped to Gothenburg to look at some Lamboghini`s at thoose days. I really regret i didnt dokumented the Lambos more, pics, vins and so on. When you did look at the car in -98, do you for how long it was in Germany, did the car come direct from Sweden to Germany? Im also sure there are some Swedish lurkes here that knows more about this car than me ;-)
I do not remember for how long the car was in Germany at that time, but I remember I was told that the car came from Switzerland. I do not know whether this is true. I am very happy that you posted the two photos of 1120248 as we now know how that rare colour "viola" looked and I hope that other F chat members from Sweden can contribute some more photos of 1120248.
1120238 is the 'other' Viola LP400, and its right here in California. Unfortunately it too is no longer Viola, so none of the Viola car cars exist in their original livery!
There is something about a Periscopa... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Correct, #238 is the other viola/white car. It is a shame that these cars exist in theit original livery. So we have two viola/white cars, but only one arancio/blu car...
What is that silver thing next to the orange LP400? Looks like it was in Battlestar Galactica in 1979 I like it. Tony
This was an exhibition at Goodwood the other weekend of Bertone Prototypes. Of course the prototype LP500 is nowhere to be found (although I am following some leads....)
Hey Jota, would you please PM me? I can't find a way to message you. I have a question about a post you put up awhile back... Thanks!
Bill S. Was Jay's Countach Orange? I was told it was Yellow but I never saw it in person so I can not be sure.
HOH... The Orange LP400 is so beatifull! One of the best colors ever. How many LP400 were painted Orange back 70's? FORTUNATELY, I have orange LP400 1/18 by Kyosho on my collection!
Now that you mentioned yellow, I think you are correct. In fact, I think there is a picture of it somewhere from the distant past in this thread from Joe Sackey.
Hi Joe: What year and location were those photo's? Nice to see the Aston Martin Bulldog. I had a chance to see that here in Washington State back in the early 80's at a place called "Royal Carriage Motors". What a car..... Mike
