To the best of my recollection they all were overlapped like that with the edging on the upper piece as shown in the pictures.

After looking at Ricambi America, I think I may have answered my own question. It could be another one of those "use it till you run out" items too. It looks like the 2V cars had a 1 piece carpet along the door sills and into the front foot well (along with early QVs maybe?) and the later QVs had the sectioned carpets.

I don't know if they made Euros differently, but I bet since I have the chocolate carpet and dash option, they had some leftovers from the 2Vs and stuck it in my car to fill the order and get it out of the door.

Books look good. I haven't seen foam that beige before on a 308, everything in my experience has been darker, looking for a good photo in the stack...

You've got plenty of time before Cavallino. I don't know if there are any FCA sanctioned shows before, but there are a couple in Orlando like Winter Park and I think the Naples show. Enter it and see what kind of responses you get. Looks like a pristine 308 to me.

    Thanks,

Naples has no judging unfortunately, I'm just looking for anything that stands out to the experts.

Like if you ask me about a Countach... I was the head Countach judge at the Concorso in Monterey 07'.

I'm looking for that type of eye to say.. the valve caps are wrong, etc.

Not as hard to find as most think. I picked up two last year for not much money.

There is a specific frame for the rear license plate?

If so, no it does not have it.

I'm up to buy one if any of you have one for sale.

Looks great to me so far. I will have my own 85 GTS QV here in another week or two and would be glad to share anything I can find with it. Mine is not concours level at this point, but if I can help in any way just ask.

    Thank you.

How hard is it to get a new intake hose?

Only because of the yellow triangle.

At Cavallino and the FCA National meets the lack of the license frame is not given a deduction. An obvious aftermarket one is. Regarding your question of valve stem caps, they also are not "judged" unless they are clearly incorrect. Ferrari never installed valve stem caps with the prancing horse on the ends, for instance. Those type will receive a deduction.
The car looks fantastic, by the way. Congratulations on a great purchase.

    Regards,

    George

I got deducted for not having the right caps,so I went to pep boys and got the black caps like are kids bikes and they passed, also on the rear plate frame. I got a black simple frame at any auto parts store that works to. they frown on load chrome frames that say ferrari on them....lol..
and for the intake tube ferrparts .com has a few. your car looks very clean and sharp you should'nt have a problem placing. My 85's vin is 52969 and born in july 1984

I am a newbie at these things but someone please correct me: Is there supposed to be 1 or 2 spark plugs in the jack toolbag? Or at least one in the little gray bulb container? I have 328 I know they comes with 2 spark plugs.

Two Champion plugs in the jack bag, but always use NGK in the engine...LOL!

The correct stems/caps for the cast wheels are lightweight aluminum stems, and a matching plain metal cap....

    That's a clean car, man!

Makes all of mine look 'worn out'...

The bare aluminum lower grill was 'early 308'...when did they transition to black?

Thanks. Also the battery strap is not in the picture, my spare belts still have the original Gate tags attached to them, and one belt should be in the orange continental paper holder.
