Can someone tell me the size of the nut on top of the gearbox? Want to change oil, but don't have the right size. It's a '77, if that matters. Thanks.

By "nut", are you talking about the fill and/or drain plugs? If so, some plugs have male hex drive feature, and this shouldn't be a mystery -- I can't recall exactly, but it's either 22mm (7/8" works OKish) or 19 mm (3/4" works) so a standard socket works. If it's a plug with a female hex drive feature, those come in two flavors -- 10mm and 12mm.

I was referring to the fill plug on top. Must be 22mm because I have a 20mm that is too small. Thanks for the info.

On the 328, it is 22x150. Should be the same on the 308.

By the way, I changed the original by a longer one : original Ferrari part has only 3 threads, which is not sufficient for aluminium housings.
If you apply a too high torque, you damage the housing thread.
