Curious if the leather interior ceiling in your 599 is taught and essentially flush with the metal roof or if "dips" in the center front to back? Mine seems to have 6"+ of dip in it between where it rests and the metal roof underneath. Bizarre.

This is a factory problem in most 599's... I have seen 2 do the same thing and had the dealer fix it under warranty..

Slightly off - has anyone had issues with the rear shelf leather aging issues behind the seats? My car has warranty thru 12/09 but wasnt sure if it was covered.

    Thanks Doug

Most of the 599s we looked at before finding ours had the this problem.

What do you mean with "aging issues"? In any case, I imagine that any issue led to by "bad" aging would be covered by the factory warranty.

Not an issue on my '07 599, but after many years I did get some sagging on my 512TR. I do know that an '07 599 for sale at the same AD where I bought mine had the sagging leather roof problem and was being fixed under warranty, so I do know that it happens.

    Hope that's useful.

I noticed that too in a car I test drove. I was concerned that I would not have enough head room. I then touched the headliner and noticed the sag.

Gary, did you ever do anything on the 512TR for this issue -- is there a fix?

    Thanks!
