My cat ecu has failed on my 355, I am running test pipes no cats so don't need them. You can disconnect the faulty ecu the car runs on all 8 but you have the slow down light permanently on, the ecus guts are encased in epoxy so no dismantleing them the ecu plug on the car gives 14v power then 5 volts to the center connections 2 then the last is ground.

Anyone bypassed these with a jumper wire or something else? $400 for another ecu that's gonna fail again doesn't seem right.

On my 512TR I disconnected the cat thermocouple ecu's at the connection where they enter the main harness. No slow-down lights for over 20Kmiles. I, too have test pipes. I also hollowed out the honeycomb material in the pre-cats and was able to discard the rusty outer casing, then bead blast and paint the pre-cats. The sound is awesome with the tubi. Hope this works for you. My car is 1994 US spec.

Thanks but it only seems to work on pre 94 ferraris, you can disconnect the ecus on 348s as well with no problems I get slow down lights on my 355 which is a 95 btw and it doesn't seem to run as well though its firing on all 8.
