Anyone have a suggestion to tint the rear window vs cutting out around the rear brake light?

    Thanks in advance...

u have to cut around it, the bracket is almost glued to the window, and u cant get between it and the glass.
i just got mine done recently. Bummer i know, but u'll get used to it :

On the 612 the 3rd brake light pops off easily. Drop down the arm rest, up above are a couple of screws, take them out and the 3rd brake light complete with its leather surround pulls out. It is held there by a couple of metal studs. Mine was tinted a couple of months ago and it took me no more than 2 minutes to remove it while at the tinter's then 2 mins to put it back. Very, very easy. Makes the tint job look good and absolutely no need to have anyone cut the tint around it. That would look stupid anyway.

When removing the present tint/film on the rear windscreen, be careful of the demister heater lines on the rear windscreen as a portion of it may be pull away together with the tint/film. It is best to remove it with some heat on the film, hot enough to soften the glue.

Cheeky Money, you are a genius, thank you. I removed the window tinting because it just doesn't look factory clean and it was cut around the 3rd light. Some window cleaner ran down and caused streaking behind the leather brake light surround. I was told that the entire rear seat assembly had to be disassembled to remove the 3rd brake light. Every time I look at the streaking it annoys the hell out of me. Thanks for the great info...Pitterrier
