i'm pretty sure those cars are special order only. there was one at broadway mercedes and it didn't take more than a couple days for owner to pick it up. i was lucky enough to see it up close.
It is actually owned by an F-chatter who lurks I've seen him downtown a few times and the car kicks major ass. The only thing that looks weird is the faux challenge grille.
They may be special order only, but so are Scuds and they're around. Orders get messed up, buyers cancel... things happen. The story on the SLR I've heard from a few is that the car actually belongs to Mercedes Canada and they're simply showing the car in Calgary at this time... if it doesn't sell soon, it'll probably just go to another dealer/city. (if it hasn't already) That's right, I forgot he was on here... Strangely, there's at least one other 575 in Montreal with a faux challenge grill - a Titanium car that is otherwise stock
Sorry, I don't deny it, I do lurk sometimes. Here are some pics taken last week in Inglewood. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Your cars look great! A couple of my favorites - love the white! Couple spots today all in SE Cgy all within 10 minutes. Red Ferrari 328 Black 360 Modena the usual Bentley's White LP 560 Not bad for a suburbanite like me who never gets to wander around the hot spots anymore.
Spotted last night: Lamborghini LP640 black with red interior, such a beautiful car. Does anyone know who owns it? It might be the lp640 in Calgary, or at least the only one that I know of.
It's a HDR image made from several different exposures on a tripod and then photoshopped together. It's a common magazine photographer technique.
A special car was unveiled tonight at FoA. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
/\ /\ /\ Are you reconsidering? On Friday, I saw a 300SL GULLWING... It was Silver and I spotted it on Blackfoot Tr around 5pm... Can anyone confirm if it's real? License plate was a single letter followed by three digits if that helps identify the car. Other spots since then - Red, Black and Silverstone F430 coupes Red, Yellow and Silverstone F430 Spiders Red and Yellow 360 Spiders Red 599 Red F355 Spider and Coupe Grey, Blue, Yellow and Pewter Gallardo coupes White LP560 Black LP640 coupe White and Black SL63s Silver Z8 Black Bentley GT Speed
^That is funny! There was a Gullwing at the Stanley Park car show (2007 or 2008) and I have seen one along Elbow Dr. Speaking of that show, it should be coming up soon. edit: This weekend - the 18th. Based off their website, 2 Gullwings belong to the club.
I do love that plaid cloth interior. Why did that go out of style anyway? Gorgeous shot, beautiful cars.
Rare sighting: Silver BMW Z1 with vanity plates "BMW Z1" in Okotoks. I'm not particularly fond of them but it was unique anyhow. Other spots: The usual Aston Martin's, Bentley's, ZR's 430, etc, etc.
Long time lurker with a quick question. I was checking out the autotrader today for vehicles and noticed a listing from Wayne Cooke sales in Calgary. Being from Edmonton, I am not familiar with this place. Any recommendations regarding it? Can I trust what they say? Thanks in advance. My current cars include a 2008 Gallardo Superleggera and a 2006 Carrera.
Wayne Cooke is OK to deal with...........I have bought cars from him, and sold him cars, with no problems whatsoever. Like anything else though, always get a PPI before committing. He has been arond the car business for over 20 years.
Spots from the last few days - Black SCUDERIA in Kensington... another Black one, not 483hp at the wheel Red F430 Spider Red F355 Spider Red 360 Modena White LP560 Yellow Gallardo Zone - as KDS said, Wayne Cooke has a good reputation and has been around forever. Good luck with what you're looking at.
