Is it me, or does that have D90 wheels off of a 964?

Hmmm.....doesn't look like it is a vintage racer without roll bar, belts, etc. Looks like a kit car...sorry.

Also (knowing next to nothing about vintage racing Porsches), did they ever even make a front-engine roadster? That would make it a bad kit car.

There were plenty of wacky Porsche-engine home-built specials raced in the 1950s and 1960s...one of the more famous ones was the "Pooper" - the Porsche-Cooper special raced extensively on the West Coast. (It was even tested and profiled by Road & Track in the day -- car still lives up in WA.)

There were even some Ferrari specials (both Corvette-powered Ferraris and Ferrari-powered home-built specials).

This car, however, is obviously a kit. IF the kit was put together prior to 1970, though, it would be eligible. (It doesn't look like it though.)

What's the big deal?? All of the replicas shown appear to be exact duplicates of the cars they're mimicking.

I can't tell the difference between the real ones and the fakes!

He probably lives in a 3rd would country where Corvettes aren't that easy to come by but then again I could still find a used C4 Vette for much less than a Honda civic in almost any country.

If not buy a Camaro or T/A and do all the Z06 stuff to it.

    OPEL is GM to :D

That must be the new Murcielago replacement. :D Fail.

    Fail again.

I thought the first pic was the actual car then I scrolled down and was like WTF? Looked like another hacked up third gen camaro.

As long as it stays a mock-up body with no mechanicals its fine.
