A "launch" (rosso scuderia/red, black alcantara interior, radio delete, factory stripe, fire extinguisher, red painted calipers) car with that low mileage sold in the last month for around 185k up here in the NW.

What color are you looking at Steve?

The Sports Car Company has two at very good prices. A red and a yellow one.

That certainly undercuts some other CS on offer with that sort of mileage and even more miles in some cases. The TDF blue/tan leather example with similar mileage and price can't seem to find a buyer either.
Are correct replacement tires now available for the CS?

Before you get to the "writing" part just make sure you do your "due diligence". There are many threads on storied CSs on Fchat. Do yourself a favor, find them and read them from start to finish. If nothing else, its a great guide to what to and what not to look for in the CS market.

Member Stokpro has an amazing amount of information on a lot of the CSs that came to the states. Ping him!

I'm staring at a $19K accident damage repair bill on the red/striped car at SCC that was NOT disclosed when I called on that car. You've been warned - thank me later!!!

That car is a very nice car. Almost bought it but opted for a non-red color. Did the PPI and everything on it. Colby (Mufflerman) will give you the honest dope on the car.

I started my search for a CS with the yellow car that is always on Ebay. There was something fishy about this car also. I talked to SCC about the car without any info being disclosed. 2 other sources confirm an accident history on this car (bodywork and paint). Carfax is negative but car took a short trip to the East coast and then back to sunny Calif? Same story on a car in FLA. Dealer doesn't tell me about a check engine light. Car has aftermarket headers with the 02 sensors missing I quess. Sure as hell can't get that car smogged in TX. A PPI is very important. Get someone who has no connection with the seller, pay them a few Benjamins and get the SD-2 download etc checked.

is there or is someone basically tracking a CS registry to track some of this info? I've been reading through some of the old posts, but havent been keeping notes. Is that what stokpro is doing?

I talked to those guys at Sacramento Motors and that CS does sound nice. It is one of the few I am seriously considering!

Get the last 6 digits of the VIN and use the FerrariChat search tool to see if the car has been previously discussed on this board. One of the totaled "Story Stradales" which was in a god awful winter crash on Long Island (destroyed the car but saved the life of the driver) surfaced in Sacramento a year or two ago as having some "minor repairs." Probably not the same car, but you get the message......if it seems to too good to be true IT IS!

Hey Roy, I believe this is the car you're referring to: 134361 that was owned by Sezme. Scary they put that thing back together with only "minor repairs".
