Your brother is in for a treat - and my Sentra was stock (it was the aftermarket unit behind the steering wheel that made the car so lethal :D). Greg is an awesome guy. The only thing you'll regret is not going to see the car yourself, because to know Greg is to love Greg.

    Hi all,

This is my first post (I'm a newbie) and thanks in advance for your help.

Auto Gallery has a 2005 CS with 11k miles on it VIN XXX-138144. Anyone know what the story is with this car? Auto Gallery has earned a lot of great reviews on FChat so I'm thinking of heading down there and seeing this in person provided there's no funny business that you all know of. What do you all think the price should be/could be on this?

Incidentally, if you had to choose between this CS and a 2005-ish F430 @ $150k which would you choose? I'm drawn to the hardcore nature of the CS and have loved them since riding in a friend's years ago. Then again, isn't every Ferrari amazing? :)

    Thank you!

CS... no question about it, IMO. And I think you meant "2004" CS; it's the only year the CS was offered. That particular car is or was owned by fellow Fchatter Msage355. I believe Mike still has it listed multiple times on FerrariAds.com as well as Auto Gallery. No other info on that car, but I do know it has traded hands at least 4 times (not suggesting that is a bad thing). Best of luck in your search, there are several to choose from out there.

You're quite right stokpro, thanks for the catch and your opinion. I'm trying to determine what a fair (not lowball) offer is that also isn't full retail. Any advice? Thank you very much!

Welcome to FerrariChat, Bruin. Andrew is right, this car was once owned by Mike Sage (and may, in fact, still be owned by him, I don't know).

138144, engine number 85511, assembly number 55552, had an MSRP of $202,899; Rosso Scuderia with black leather, colored upper dash, spare tire, stereo, fire extinguisher, stripe, black calipers, originally delivered to Ferrari of Houston. In October, 2006, it was for sale through a guy named Simon, in Texas.

Mike does still own the car. It's there on consignment. The Rosso Scuderia (my last one and I belive is sold) and the TDF are owned by AG. :)

Many thanks to you stokpro and Modenafan - appreciate the information and making me feel welcome. Based on the fact that this is a known car to you and owned by a fellow Fchat member I'm very inclined to move forward. I love Fchat - 24 hours ago I knew nothing about this car and was pretty much on the fence. Again, much appreciated!

136348 now on ebay being sold by Sports Car Company...no disclosure of damage! This is quite troubling as I though SCC were one of the more reputable dealers.

136348 now being offered by Scottsdale Ferrari. Funny how an authorized dealer would advertise the car as being "optioned" with an F1 tranny for $12,958; they all come equipped with the flappy paddle gearbox. Trying to make it appear as if the car had $15k+ options. Ha! And the CarFax, that's a load of crap. Car was on "dealer license" by 2nd owner and both accidents were not reported. There's an Fchatter that saw the car parked at FoBH for 6 months while it was being repaired. This CS has been for sale since January 2009 by 5 different sellers.

Is there any story on the 2 CSs on ebay right now? Both have high mileage for CS, one has 24k and the other has 30k. I am interested in finding a CS, but not a story one.

If you're talking about this one it was mine: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2006-Ferrari-360-Modena-Challenge-Stradale-LOW-MILES_W0QQitemZ180393323553QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item2a0047ac21&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245

No stories, AG just did the major service and the car has never ran anything but perfectly. I did re-spray the front due to rock chips but zero body damage. Btw, the ad says 2006, but obviously that's a typo. You can pm me any questions you have regarding this car. :) The car has a clear bra over the bumper, hood and fenders.

130k for a no story driver Stradale seems like a good deal.

    Interior looks fantastic too.

Traded it in at $120k. Didn't want to deal with the hassle of selling it.

Agreed! I like the leather seats over the alcantara, but it's a nice car for sure.

Back on the market yet again. Car *was* sold and now back at Scottsdale Ferrari. Wonder if the buyer discovered that it is a storied CS and returned it... would not surprise me.

What happened to the car? What kind of accident was it involved in?
