I've been busy with other projects and I just bought another basket case Porsche today, that makes 3 this year! I'm coming to the realization that I may never get my 308 project on the road. One is a clean title 1977 GTB roller and the other is a salvaged 1985 GTSQV. The QV actually runs and drives. I start it up a few times a month just to get the fluids flowing. It has about 26k miles on it.

What do you guys think these cars are worth?

In all honesty, I'd say they are worth a LOT more in parts than whole. I hate to see
these cars get cut up, but from the photos I would say these two cars are SO upside
down that they are beyond reasonable restoration. What are the engines like?

You'd have to find the right buyer for them. Frankly the market isn't strong now, and both are disassembled. Those little parts nobody thinks about are very expensive. I've been offered running 308s without salvage titles for well under 20K.

Parting them out sounds good on the surface, but takes time and effort and in the end you still have big chunks of steel to dispose of later.

I wouldn't offer over 10K for the pair as is condition unknown.

Maybe list it as a track car project? The GTB is a nice candidate for one.

I was thinking ebay also. I just have to decide if I want to list them separately or not.

Do you have all the parts and screws etc for the GTB in ziplock baggies? marked and labeled? If not you would be in a neverending journey to piece it back together. You could possibly use the frontend of the GTB for the GTS, I don't know if they are the same measurements.
The way it is now I would take the GTS for 5k.

The GTB is just a bare shell. I planned on swapping the frontend from it to get the GTS back on the road.

That makes sense. About 20 years ago I sent a 85 GTS in pretty much the exact same condition to my brother in law in Austria and he ended up buying all the parts directly from Ferrari, Italy. He drove to italy picked up all the parts and put it back together, didn't even take him that long to do, but he had about 2 or 3 guys working on it. I just doubt that nowadays you can still get all those parts that easily. Would be an interesting project. BTW, are you sure its 26k miles on the GTS? The gas pedal looks very shiny for a 26k mile car.

Just curious--how does the QV run, with no radiator? You mentioned fluids circulating--are you running coolant? Did you bypass the radiator/plumbing?

Pity the QV is LHD, I'd buy it in a heartbeat, probably both. That is, after making sure that the QV is still square. Since the rolling shell misses a lot of the parts needed to complete the QV it'd still be a bit of work, but there's a lot to sell off afterwards and you end up with a cheap QV. Heck, even if you need an engine only it'd be a good deal.

I installed a used 308 radiator. It's just resting on the frame at the moment but it worked for a couple short test drives.

If you decide on parting them out let me know. I need some odds and ends. Some items off the top of my head are, spare tire and rim, jack, tool kit.
