I know, damn it why did judge need to open this can of worms again. When the weather in Alabama in the middle of July is only in the upper 70's, of course the red cars need to come out and play. I planned to take the 308 and the 365 out on exactly the same roads with the same music on the iPod to get a good and meaningful comparison. It didn't work out that way, for some reason the 365 managed to find the longer way home. Most of the conclusions I've had still ring true. The V8 is a much more point and squirt car designed for the twisty bits (and the GTS still flexes too much), the 365 just wants to drive and drive and drive. The V8 needs to be held in the higher revs, the V12 prefers the 3k to 5k range (bouncing it between 3k and 4k is adictive). Each was designed to do a different job, neither is better than the other, except if you try and push a V12 too fast through the curves (it manages, but it is big) or try and drive too far in the V8 (the gearing sucks, you're at 4k all day long on the interstate in 5th). End of the day conclusion? Buy one of each.

And yes, I was too lazy to take the Mondial off the lift today.

You should have brought the 365 down to the Barber track today. Great weather and good racing action!

I just did a quick Google search and am surprised there isn't an aftermarket x-brace or other chassis anti-flex solution.

Clearly you need to be welcomed back to civilized society with vast quantities of brain lubrication.

V12 vs V8 again: different animals, yet again.

we had both side by side to and from Sonoma to Sacto this weekend. 120 miles each way: all we can say was we could discuss it, but they are different animals.
like a pony next to a horse: nuff said.
