Your buggy was definately lowered. I'm sure Tim was stress getting your buggy over those humps during our drive. The F430 original height is very high. My ex 430 that I lowered is also lower than my Scud. I'll find some pictures to post for comparison.
Yea ballz. Envy is a waste of time. we already have all we need. Sigh, humans.....We never cherish the littlest things in Life that we have, it might be what others have always yearn to have.
yeh I can imagine him cringing every time he went over a hump, especially as his 430 is regular height. I don't know why the factory 430's are so high though. I think it looks so much better dropped a little .. although I sometimes think my too low.
nice pants indeed once again a rubbish article on Stomp. he's definitely wrong to park in that yellow box but whatever he wishes to do is his own personal business, all those comments are definitely not needed. the thing i always wonder about stomp: these people take the pics to post online, but why not just go up to the guy and tell him he cannot park there?
Lowering the car does affect the balance of the car... and not necessarily for the better. I wanted to lower the Scud but HSM said not too as the current specs were factory settings. I have to check the photos of my Italian trip and see if the the track Scuderias were lower.
Yes, Harold, the same QBH who drives a 997 GT3. Hi everyone, I should introduce myself - my name is Wee Hann. I was at the drive yesterday. Real nice drive with a number of older F-cars such as 308 and 348. Friendly bunch of people too.
mine's got novitec racing springs so balance seems ok to me .. even with an additional 120kg always sitting on the left side. another lurker surfaces look forward to meeting you on the next drive
Men, when can we have a little soccer game with our rides like they do 5th gear pitting Evo X & Focus RS http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QS8wT6nCOyo
Hi Shawn. Thanks for sharing on the SLK, they were selling the racing programme few yrs back for quite a reasonable price. Too bad that racing in this part of the world is not that well received like soccer. Oh, that Miura's engine caught fire. Doesn't look too bad to me & another few months+rebuild will see it back on the road again. I'm always freaking worried about old fuel lines & overheated cats. Hi Derek, nice to meet u Welcome Wee Hann. For a moment, I thought u are the other Hann that has the yellow LP. Do u guys realised that over the last few months, there wasn't any fire sale on pre-360 classics? Maybe one or two came & went but never a few @ a time. Even then, the prices were never low too & in fact higher than what I expected. Shows that either they are "cheap" to keep &/or the passion is strong. Mike, yr bro bit the hook?
I found these on the thread about the burnt Miura but I guess it applies to all cars. Especially the first one. If your car catches fire! Off the engine & remove your key then run with it. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=138829119&postcount=5 Not sure if our fuel tanks are now alloy but I guess old cars need to watch out about this. I always get my fuel filters changed on old cars, speaking of which I better do it on the one that's being laid away! I keep old bikes & the fuel tanks rust away badly on the inside after a few months of non usage. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=138829174&postcount=6
Lung, I understand the Scuderia to have its independent suspension settings which adjust dampening on the car. I have the same settings on my M3 and changing the wrong set of springs would cause the dampener warning to appear on the dash as it has happened to those in US who used the wrong spring rates which the suspension cannot work with. I dont think the F430s are as advanced as this but being far more mechanical, I think going with the same rate or slightly higher might not be a problem. But having the driven the F430 on Singapore roads even at a faster speed going uphill, there is some slight scuffing. I cant imagine driving it lowered. Damn i would be scared to drive here. The F430 to me, appears high but after driving it, the undercarriage appears to be sitting lower to the ground that it looks!
damn I can't edit - obviously I meant the right side of the car!!! I'm glad Mrs K doesn't read Fchat otherwise I'd be in the dog house for calling her fat
I totally agree! There's lots of idiots who break the law everyday but don't get featured in Stomp, but when you're a Ferrari owner, everyone wants to hang you *sad* The funny thing is, someone on Stomp mentioned that the driver's name is Ah Tiong and that he 'supplies meat to the market' LOL. Can our brudder Tiong verify this?
, Well, it's not 'for nothing' actually. I understand that there is a fee, but only at a small percentage to the Owners' Club fee in comparison, and you need to have a walkie.
When he saw that the picture for the ad was taken in front of our place, he knew it was his destiny...
ahhhh. got it bud. had a drink with him last week and told him I was not ready to bring the RS to malaysia as the tires were bald and alignment is causing major tram lining... very unnerving at times... plus the fact I cant remember how to drive manual yet. how are you mate???? and how is the 612 still treating you? so this is a lot of the old car guys that just cant keep out of Malaysia?? BTW Leslie took delivery of my ex turbo today.... meeting him later.
