Ra.....I will start by saying this and I want everyone here to read this loud and clear because hopefully some good can come from all of this mess. I want to explain how things got to this point between you and I and lay this all out on the table.

Everyone here at Ferrarichat and to whoever it may concern...I want to publicly apologize to Ra and to let everyone here know that he is not the man that stole my vehicle. Certain circumstances which I am going to explain led me to believe that he was the man that stole my vehicle and I was 100 percent incorrect.

For the past several months I have been trying to locate Mr. Ramesra as you all know. I was scammed out of my vehicle by a gentleman that I met in downtown Birmingham last November. He was a black male maybe 5'9 and 160 pounds with short hair and a somewhat stocky build. That was the description I gave to the Birmingham police. I aslo submitted as evidence a notarized bill of sale that I was given by the thief. On that notarized stamp was what as I would eventually find out to be your wifes name.

After months of contacting the police department trying to see if they had any information on the case I was informed to come in and see it I could identify some possible suspects. When I arrived my detective showed me several different photos of people and asked me if any of them appeared to be the one who stole my car. It didn't take me two seconds to point to a picture of who I thought it was. I told the detective that the one I picked out looked exactly like the guy except that he had a shorter hair. It happens that out of all the people I was shown your picture looked extremely close to the guy except his haor was cut shorter. I had no idea when the picture was taken. I was given your name as well as several possible alias you went by.. I went home to see what I could find on the internet about you and came across several businesses and addresses you have had. The few numbers I had were all disconnected and I could not find a contact number for you or your wife. The detective working my case said that he had gone by your several of your past residence in a attempt to talk to you but couldn't find you. He said he had another possible address he checked where you had possible lived but again you had moved. At the time all you and your wife were wanted for was questioning.

So months went by and the cop working my case seemed to we were unable to find you. With all the information I had gathered and the circumstancial evidence I had with your wife notarizing the document and even the cops believing that you were the guy I truly thought we had identified the thief.

Ra....when I say you look like him I am not saying that to cover my butt or save face here. If you cut your hair short you look like the suspect and I stand by that. I asked the police what they would do if they located you and I was told that they would question you on the case and try to find some answers. I figured that they would allow me to see you in person and identify if it was you or not and if it wasn't then I was wrong and that was that. But again with all pieces I could put together and what appeared to be you with multiple aliases and several recent addresses and several businesses that I was unable to locate I was as close to positive that it was you.

I gave up on trying to contact you myself with the thought that if you were the guy who did this what were you going to do...Give me my car back? I figured that I had no way to contact you and the only thing I could do was to search everywhere on the internet I could.

One of the things I did was search on Google for one of your past address. 2106 Pike Road was one of these I found. As you and everyone else here knows I gave my vehicle to the thief at a Popeyes Chicken close to downtown. By using the address of Popeyes I looked to see how close this address was to Pike Road.

    Here is what I found..
    http://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=725+11th+Ct+W,+Birmingham,+AL+35204-1920+(Popeye's+Famous+Fried+Chicken)&geocode=CUmSDOzX4H2VFbmC_wEdHdDS-iFCfunzhuvHrw&dirflg=&daddr=2106+pike+road+birmingham+al&f=d&hl=en&dq=Popeyes+chicken+loc:+birmingham+al&sll=33.446385,-86.828088&sspn=0.225469,0.119947&cid=12666351441853120066&ie=UTF8&ll=33.513418,-86.863832&spn=0.03392,0.076818&z=14

Your past address was right up the interstate 2.7 miles to the east from where the car was stolen. It's a 2 minute ride from there. Now this is a coincidence but at the time it definitly made sense. The thief had stole my car and simply jumped on the interstate for a second and jumped off and stashed it.

The police continued to tell me they were doing everything they could to try to locate you but you were one step ahead of them. A few months back I called them for the millionth time to see if they had found you. The detective said that they had not but they were running you on Crimestoppers. I was suprised that we were actually taking it to television but figured if it would help locate you and possibly get some answers as to who James Jamel Walker is then we should try. I never saw the add run on TV but located a link to it while spending the 500,000 night on the internet trying to track you down. Since the police had not heard anything I did what anyone here would have done and posted the link in attempt to find you and hopefully some answers to what happened to my car.

Late one night while searching on the internet I was able to track down several pictures of you on the internet which resembled the guy who stole my vehicle even more than the mug shot. In the picture you were even dressed in similar style clothes as the guy. I sent Crimestoppers all the pics I could find of you trying to see if anyone in Birmingham knew where you were.

Then I was told by my detective over a month ago that you had contacted another detective there that you knew you were wanted for questioning but were denying the charge and had not turned yourself in to be interviewed be the police. This to me seemed suspicious. If you knew you were simply a suspect why did you wait so long to turn yourself in?

I quit posting things on the net as far as my story went hoping soon that I would have some answers. I figured this whole time that if you were caught that you would be interviewed by the police and I could possibly track down my car.

I came home from work one day to find a letter in the mail from the district attorney with a form showing a court case of Matt LaMotte against Luscius Russ. You had yet to be caught or questioned and we already had a court case ready. Being honest I had always thought that they would gather evidence once they had found you through questioning and if it all added up and you were the one then we would go to court for it then. I waited and waited to see if they would find you and this past Friday I called to see if they had found you. The detective informed me that that you had turned yourself in and that you and I had court Monday!!! I asked what had happened when you turned yourself in and if they had interviewed you. My detective claimed that he had not yet and that I could hopefully identify you in court on Monday. I didn't think that it would turn out with me trying to identifiy you in court face to face for the first time. I figured that they would investigate you and your wife as to what you may know or who did this before sending it straight to court. However that is how I was told the police were processing this so I showed up today.

This whole time I knew all along all I needed to do to see if it was you was see you face to face. If you were the thief that did this then I had the crook and if you were not I would have no problem admitting that I was wrong and I want everyone to know that you are not the man and I was wrong and I apologize to you. When I saw you walk in I realized that you were not the guy. I sat down waiting to meet and speak with the district attorney and I had not met face to face. When he called me out of the room I immediatly told him that you were not the guy and that there was no point in taking it any further with you. He asked if I would recognize you if I heard your voice. I told him no and that I was positive it was not you. When my detective called me out of the room again I told him the exact same thing and was told to leave.

I don't know what your real name and today was the first time I saw you. Luscius Russ, Akhnamn, Ra...whatever your name is I will apologize to you here or in person and I stand by that for everyone to see if that is what you want.

However I do have some questions that I hope you or your wife may be able to answer starting with how did your wifes name get on this notarized bill of sale? Where did she work that this was done and what did the guy that did this look like? I have stated from the start that if she stamped this piece of paper than she must have seen who did this and have some information. The drivers license number does not match the name given. This is what I have been wanting to know for the past 7 months. I saw on the other forum that a man claiming to be a friend of yours said you knew some possible information on who may have done this. Whether that is true or not I don't know but feel free to let me or the Birmingham Police know if you do. They still want to know information about how your wifes name ended up on this bill of sale I have.

So there you have it people. I know this whole story has been simply entertainment and a good read for some while others have just been trying to help me. As I have always said this whole thing is not a story I have enjoyed telling and maybe it will not have a good ending like everyone has hoped for. The car is long gone and State Farm Insurance has got been able to deny my claim by a inclusion they added to my policy a few months before this occurred. This whole search has not simply been because I am stuck paying 540.00 a month for this car and lost a bunch of cash. If I had been able to file my claim and the car paid off I would still be trying just as hard to figure out who did this because whoever did this to me is still out there and has probably done this several times since and I don't want this to happen to somebody else. Maybe the car will pop up but I will continue to try to find out who it was.

Rob...feel free to close this thread if Ra wants. He can contact me through PM or if he wants to or he can sit here and slam me for being wrong. I was and I accept that. But if anybody that reads this may have any information that they think could possibly help me locate the crook feel free to let me know. Thank you all for your help and support.

wow! So what about the important point about you paying some guy $1,800 to make your car disappear?

So innocent guy spent jail time due to your actions eh? Dude, you're looking at jail time for insurance fraud.

Do i smell a hint of racism here? many on this board assumed the accused was guilty due to him being black.

I like how he forgot that important point... I don't know what makes you think that anyone assumed he was guilty because he was black, there are not any comments in this thread stating that. I really did not think about the accused being guilty or inocent based on someones internet post because who really knows how much of this odd story is true...

So I have a few questions that I'd like both Ra ( I guess we're calling insurancefraudinvestigator that) and Matt to answer.
Ra, I read your first post carefully a few times and you seem to insinuate that you possess evidence or documentation of some sort that suggests that Matt paid some third party the sum $1,800 shortly before his car "disappeared" you say. You say "disappeared" twice and specifically not "stolen" as one would think. Do you hold evidence that Matt paid someone to drive away in his car and allow him to report it stolen and the plan simply backfired on him? Is this what we are meant to take away from these comments? Also, how is it that your wife is a notary public on the documentation that Matt was given during the transaction of the "sale" of the car? Surely, that is more than coincidence.
Matt, you specifically did not address two paramount questions that others have raised. $1,800 paid to someone before your car was taken. What about that? Also IF Ra is correct, why did the investigators leave to question you further after the court appearance. Ra could be merely suggesting dubious overtones to rouse our curiosity as he makes it sound as though the tables have turned on you and they have placed you as the primary of person of interest at heart, but after hearing your explanation of showing up at court and basically saying, "Oops, I was wrong. Ra, aka insurancefraudinvestigator, isn't the guy after all." Did the detectives feel stifled and want to revisit old questions or had the tables turned? I'm sure you'll say they had not.

Matt that is one hell of a post....

    Ra
Is your wife a Notary? If she is she should have a ledger that shows for whom she stamped the bill of sale AND if that person was known to her or if any Identification was provided in the process of the notary stamp. This information should have been handed over to the police, if it has not it should have been, that information should be able to assist the police.

I'm going to go way out on a limb and say that the guy who spent a few days in jail (according to him) for your (allegedly) false accusations is not going to rush out and help you solve this case.

Is this the post that Ra was referring to when he suggested that Matt paid a guy $1,800? If so, that accusation would seem to fall flat.
