That just doesn't sound right. I've never heard a car shoot off in launch control but is it supposed to sound like that, skipping repeatedly?

maybe I don't know. But L/C suppose to stop the typres slipping when the car starts very quickly. From the video, I have only got a feeling that the ASR is off. Is this really how L/C works?

Probably a valet. Or the son of the Scuderia owner. Total abuse of the car.

I disagree. These cars can handle burn outs. It's a new Ferrari, one burn out wont kill it. Although definitely not the spot to do that!

The sound you are hearing is the rev limiter kicking in, gotta change gears.

Nothing about this seems right... Sounds to me like the rev limiter is kicking in the whole time. LC sounds and feels much more energetic, that was foolish.

He lit up the tires...whats the big deal? Yeah its on a city street but there is no one around who was at danger. I would be more concerned about the Mustang following him to be honest.

I agree with rbf41000, this does not look like launch control as the l.c. is supposed to get you off the mark as fast as possible, you could beat this takeoff on a push bike, too much wheel spin I would say he just has the asr off and nailed it which is not the quickest way to take off.

Its nice to see a Ferrari in action, but I could never bring myself to be so rough with such a beautiful machine. I'd rather thrash the mustang following behind it.

That wasnt launch control btw. But at least the driver had fun. :p:p

Watch the first 1.30 min of this Clarkson 599 video and he shows you how to launch a Ferrari! :D:D

Stig also does it around 9 mins in. ;);)

that's the rev limiter. when the car hits redline, the electronic limitor keeps pushing the revvs down, but then they got back up. that's what makes that constant skipping noise

What's best way to launch off the line at a timed autox when the start clock beam is in about ten ft?
