Well I'll be damned if I didn't find a Valeo coupe that isn't listed in the Matthias Urban book !!! That's right folks:), belonging to Pom in Thailand, a 93 coupe Valeo, RHD, red and (guessing here) tan. A picture of it is in post #74 of this thread. I'll ask his permission to list the SN# in the appropriate places.

    Cheers,

    Hank

Do you think you can let us see the list of the SNs of the 24/25 Valeos here?

I recognized the wheels/size, I bought them from HRE when I got the car, no longer available of course. I also loved the red carpeting, what a fun coupe that was for me. Enjoy her!!

I figured that was the case, very cool that you noticed.....but I have to say I am looking for some new wheels. While I do like the looks of these, the offset is too much and I have rubbing issues front and rear. I am in contact with HRE to see if they can do some swapping of parts and pieces to pull those puppies back into the wheel wells a bit, otherwise I am nosing around for some OE 355 wheels which to me look very sharp on the Mondial. She is still a fine ride and I am very happy to have found her........

I will have to touch base with you to get caught up on the history a bit....

She's just getting a clean up and a front respray to get rid of years worth of rock chips and the many paint dabs - which end up looking worse than the rock chip itself !!
Eugenio will then do my alternator and I'll be good to go for many k's of miles :)

BTW, let me join the "masses" who wish Massa a speedy and complete recovery !!!!

    Health & happiness to all,

    Hank

Very cool Hank. My Prugna nose is due for a respray too... Your efforts (and photo) may spur me on to get it done!

    Hi Michael,

This may be a repost on my part but I love looking at this particular Mondi. It was the car that made me fall for "t" and - get this - made me consider a big bucks Prugna repaint. It is such a rich and elegant color !!

Pictures of your beautiful coupe made it even more difficult to leave Rachel the way she was born:)

I finally got over it :)

    Cheers, Hank

I do agree that prugna is a very elegant color and looks terrific on Mondials.

Hank - she looks as beautiful as ever!

Thanks, but I didnt make the wheel choice, Scaledetails is the one with the good eye. Even though that particular HRE design is out of production, I found someone with lots of 17" HRE wheel parts and am fixing to replace the front 2" lips with a 1" lip (keeping the 6" barrel) and then in the rear I will swap the 3" lip for a 1" and then up the barrel width from 6" to 7". As it sits now the offset is way too much and all four corners have a tendency to greet Mr. Wheel Arch on bumps, dips and various forms of spirited cornering. I will post pics after wheel surgery....

I noticed a small spare under the bonnet? Is that a factory part or a spare you picked up?

Rachel best wishes on your Nip & Tuck.

    Hi Dave,

Hair & Makeup on Rachel went wonderfully! - - picked her up today. I can't wait for the next local show opportunity. Next day or so, I'll take her to the barn and shoot some current "pin up" pictures.

The spacesaver spare that you spotted in Rachel's front boot is out of a 308, according to Keith Bluemel's "ORIGINAL FERRARI V8" (page 48) - Additionally, it came with a spacer that is supposed to accommodate my ABS system - - I have the "tire in the can" that is part of my tool kit but more than likely, has no tire left in it :) One day I must pretend to have a flat (in my garage), and then force myself to mount the bloody thing to see if it actually fits!!. If memory serves me right, the folks from whom I bought it told me it was out of a wrecked 348 with ABS. Well, we all know those wheels fit a Mondial t - right? But did he ever attempt to use his (my) spare? :)

    Cheers mate,

    Hank

Couldn't stop driving Rachel today.........I went north, then south, then east and thankfully, ended up in my own neighborhood for a photo opp.

Her front end respray is nothing short of awesome!!! I'll take some close ups for you folks, in a subsequent post.

    Cheers, Hank
