    21 isn't a single house it is part of an abandoned resort. On part II number 8 the flying saucer house is a Futuro and there are a fair number of them around the world.

    I have seen a lot of those in person, I think the one I have seen in Person that was the most interesting was the Fuji television building in Tokyo.

    It's a pity that the owner of the blog titled them 'strange' because so many of them are wonderful. The crooked house is terrific, as are the 'Fred and Ginger' buildings in Prague. And how great is it that Kansas City's library's parking garage looks like books?


    Who said that all buildings must look like dull shoeboxes?

    I was looking for some photos to post in this thread i took years ago on holiday in the Canary Islands. The house looked like a big iced cake and sweets and as it was unfinished you could walk round inside, which was just as interesting. I heard the guy building it ran out of money so there is a good chance it is no longer there.

    the object houses can go, like the Kettle, basket, shoe etc. as reminds me of 40-50's Giant Oranges syndrome

    but the others, Art and glad someone did them.

    Remember the, what were they Best Buys, that had 'strange buildings' for each? One in Sacramento, when the store wanted to open, it would slide out one corner of the building to make it look like it was ripped off. Bricks dangling etc.
