On the interior shot I do not see any paddles, (I doubt this is a X6 car)but rocker switches on the steering wheel ala Porsche PDK, for the 911,and the new Panamera.

The PCar guys so disliked this location and method, that in MY2010, I believe true paddles will be offfered.

I think those are turn signal buttons on the wheel rather than shifters.

Wow! Nearly 100 hp up on the 430... Can't wait to see what this thing will do around the top gear track :)

Did they do away with the manual transmission option?

I personally think the car looks beautiful inside and out and while that's up to personal taste, I will say though that Ferrari's new look is totally RADICAL. I mean you've all seen that interior pic. It's utterly BONKERS, and in a good way! Top Gear people made comments that the F430 looks too conservative and they're right, but the 458 now has proper supercar styling and outrageousness, especially for the interior. I mean goodness sakes' that interior's just totally nutes, and the tacho looks delicious, and that analog/digital speedo where the analog goes by increments of 30 and 60! The displays and such now look like they use proper modern day display technologies. I bet that orange-ish circle around the tacho gets brighter and turns raging red when you rev that monster. :D

Seriously radical. The Gallardo and LP560 really pushed Ferrari to do better, and they pushed back with this. Utterly and deliciously bonkers. I love it!

Dunno if this has already been suggested, but this car has strikingly some similar features to the P4/5. Certainly can't be a coincidence considering the designer.

Yeah it was discussed in Jim's P 4/5 thread... I personally think it takes the best looking parts from Jim's car and makes it its own.

I think you are right. It appears as if they have done away with the stalks and put everything on the steering wheel or on those protruding dash parts. Everything is accessible with your fingers when your hands are on the wheel.
