I'm 99% going to Spa now, that SCHUMI is back :)

    Where is recommended to sit?

I don't mind spending 500Euro on a ticket, but I want to be able to take great pictures without obstructions and be able to see some excitement... suggestions? Andreas?

I'm considering a bronze ticket. 150€ is already quite some money for a poor student ;) So I'd like some recommendations where to go with these tickets at well...:)

    Florian,

If you spring for the ticket, I will subsidize your beer budget. And yes, I know about Germans love of beer :D

Bronze is good at Spa, its such a up and down circuit with high banks to view from and great high speed corners, Just remember to take a Camera, I usually camp behind Mamedy, its on the edge of the track and usually manic 24/7 with loads going on..

Silver is nearly sold out on the website..

here's the site for tickets http://www.spa-tickets.be/spa-francorchamps/f1-tickets.asp

we have been to Spa countless times for F1 races, Spa 24 and LMS races - For F1 races our preference is Pouhon - probably the best for the most view - there's a large screen tv directly across from the stands - you see them coming into Pouhon and out into ***nes. We've sat in the stands F1 across from the pits - view is not so good and the seats themselves are quite tiny. I'd also be inclined for Silver 2 or Gold 4. Watching the cars coming out of LaSource, thru Eau Rouge up Raidillion is the place to be. The best view of this will not be accessible to you for the F1 race which is above the old pits.

Good luck on finding a place to stay. The place we stay in Trois Ponts has a minimum for F1; we've also stayed at the Best Western in Bastogne but it's probably full too; try Assen but you'll encounter the no availability there also; have stayed in Luxembourg City before.

We should stay in Europe and go to Spa as we'll be at the Nurburgring the weekend before....

Bronze will get you from just after Eau Rouge all the way round to the Bus Stop, allthough its just trackside, there is some fantastic viewing, Its worth remembering that the weather can be wet and cold at spa for August. There is a park and ride ticket available from some main towns etc, camping is good fun too, the atmosphere from the Germans and the dutch is great...

I was in the Grandstand at the end of Turn 1 (La Source) and loved those seats. They are very close to the circuit entrance as well, so no long walks. You see the main straight/start&finish, pitlane, and pitlane exit and the slowest corner on the track.

Plus, the grandstand is covered. It was quite cold and wet when I was there last year.

You're booked for two events. You go to one half of the events and your other half to the other half. Problem solved :) :D

Mines ok with it but I can't go. Yours isn't and, if I know you, you'll be there.
    Life is not fair.

Or is the restraining order Max took out on you? :)

LOL restraining order brilliant.. I'd love to smack that Mosley in the kisser with a knuckle butty.:)

The problem is this: I haven't told her I'm meeting up for a F-chat beer fest with Mike footing the bill...:D thats not advisable.. ok! I'am double booked tickets for weekend musical event! she who must be obeyed is saying we can go Monza If I'm adamant I need to go I can't see a way out.

I do not want to go to the Music event that much anyway.

I do think if I say you are going she will let me tho...:D

I just booked my tickets, Gold 4 section (at the top of the hill at Eau Rouge).

I will check around for hotels and flights tonight. It seems there are numerous cities close to the track. Bonn, Cologne, Dusseldorf are actually closer than Antwerp... I'll see what I get for a hotel then worry about flights.

Are you definitely in Steve? Florian, you definitely in?

Fly into Brussels (BRU) it's only about 1.5 hours to circuit; Sheraton at airport for Sunday night. I may consider going to the race - John told me to go for it so...... we'll see...
