Obviously, I have a horse in the race... but I think they look frikken amazing on a 360 or F430. Image Unavailable, Please Login
AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHHH...... I HATE YOU. Well, ok, hate is a strong word. Thanks for tossin that monkey wrench in.
While the Scud wheels look good...they only look good on certain colors. That is the gamble with colored rims. Your car if I remember correctly is gray correct? I don't think the rims will look good, too similar in color. Go with the stock 430 rims hands down. And save your stock 360 rims, offer the choice to the next buyer. You will be able to recoop money on stock 430 rims. Second hand rims are available online all the time.....
I am having the wheels powder coated to match my car. They will be bright green, almost a chartreuse, to match the ultra chic color that I'm painting my modena next week. DM
Damn-man! Do it and post pics so I can decide if I want to do the same to my 360, which I think is the same color as yours. I put $25k into my TR (F-40 Brembo brakes, HRE 547 wheels and P-Zero tires -- not including labor -- and never regretted it). You only live once. I say go for it. Spend the kid's inheritance so they can see the joy on your face. Don't listen to your "friends,", they just have wheel envy. Toggie has me thinking HRE 3-piece for the 360 now.
Dave, I have a spare set of those for the track as well. You could try them on too. It would be like a fashion show for your car's new shoes! I could bring them to C&C and we can all judge which is best.
Geez Ed!! Too generous!! Joe, Scud wheels are less expensive than the correct 19" CS wheels, new at least. I have a line on a set of 430 wheels, trying to work the details now, but I think that's the way I'm going to go. Stay tuned. D
For reference purposes, here is what a red 360 Spider looks like with 430 wheels. Image Unavailable, Please Login
And this guy naked across the hood... oh crap, wrong thread...where is that darn delete button? Image Unavailable, Please Login
My titanium 360 F1 sports the stock stars and looks good as well as period correct. I was also considering the challenge wheels for a slight update but decided against it. My '99 is ten years old. Putting the newest wheels on it won't make it look the newest. Stay stock (save the $ for a rainy day) or go 360 challenge. My .02. PS. My 26,000 mile car just ate $16,000 for a major, clutch, flywheel, etc. so I'm glad I'm happy with my stars.
What, you don't have palm trees in your part of Pennsylvania??? Geez, I must be the luckiest guy in the world. It never snows here, we have palm trees and sunny beaches... DM
and 430 wheels it is. Got a GREAT deal. Wheels with new P Zero Rosso for a great price from a guy who will shortly be a sponsor here. When he is, I'll reveal his name and other details. Might have for the weekend, certainly by early next week. How does one draw a virtual grin from ear to ear? oh yeah, I remember
Congrats. I bet the 430 wheels are going to look fantastic with your 360. Your 360 is titanium, isn't it?
WAHOO! GOOD ON YOU! PM me with details and price please when you can. What are you doing w/the old wheels/tires?
ed. Not in a hurry, spent about a year thinking about it. also those plus tires get me to almost $12K, no thanks. DM
