According to the reports it's from the F1 Clienti program. Talk about a luck. Bet the guy who bought it never thought he was going to have Michael putting it through the paces.
And it's not even a car he's driven before, so that's probably just as exciting for him.
I have to say this is truly a great thing to be happening at this time in F1. Let's hope all works out...Massas recovery, Michaels contribution to the team, and Ferrari back in P1!

Michael Schumacher got back behind the wheel of a Formula 1 Ferrari this morning (Friday) as he began preparations for his return to world championship competition in Valencia later this month.

Schumacher, who will stand in for Felipe Massa while the Brazilian recovers from injury, tested a 2007 Ferrari supplied by a private owner at the team’s Mugello circuit in Tuscany.

The in-season testing ban means Schumacher cannot run in Ferrari’s 2009 machine, which he will drive for the first time in practice for the European Grand Prix.

So the seven-time world champion is instead reacquainting himself with F1 performance levels in the F2007, the car which Kimi Raikkonen used to win the 2007 title.

“I contacted some of the guys from F1 Clienti to see if they could give me a car,” Schumacher told his website.

“Although those cars are not current or last year’s ones, I’m simply keen to drive as much as possible, so this is a good option.

“The next weeks will be all about preparation.”

Schumacher visited the Ferrari factory in Maranello on Thursday to familiarise himself with the current car’s controls using a static simulator.

The 40-year-old has also embarked on a specific training regime to ensure he is fully race-fit by the time he returns to competitive action in Valencia.

I'm pretty sure that Ferrari would not have sold the F2007 chassis yet since they are not old enough. I don't know if I'm pulling this out of thin air, but IIRC there was a program that said it was 2+ years for the cars to be completely obsolete in the world of F1 to where no one will gain any technical knowledge from purchasing them. I'm sure they will sell most of them just not for another year possibly.

Yes you are correct. Ferrari will not sell new cars for fear of the technology leaking out. So I'm sure its a Ferrari owned car. Unless its owned by Kimi or one of the team personnel.

Wouldn't it of made more sense for him to drive Massas car from last year?

The Factory still has a great deal of involvement in the F1 car they sell to "private owners", the money changing hands insure the personalities involved are long term Ferrari customers or rabid Tifosi, I can assure you of that.

We have a few here in Houston at FoH.

They still basically operate the car, for the new owner!
