Sure you can, for a start, stamp duty ( it's a tax) on rental properties.

From a typical car buyer's point of view, Luxury Car Tax is payable on a vehicle when:
* The vehicle is purchased from a dealership.
* The vehicle is less than two years old, as measured from the build date for locally built cars, or the compliance date for imported cars. However, if a vehicle is sold used and LCT has already been paid on the vehicle (e.g. when it was sold new), a credit is applied for any LCT already paid. This means that except in the rare case where a used vehicle is sold for more than its new car value, LCT is effectively only payable on new cars and used demonstrator vehicles less than 2 years old.
* The vehicle's price (including GST, excluding government charges such as stamp duty, registration & CTP) exceeds the Luxury Car Tax threshold - currently $57,180.00 (including GST)."

As I understand it, a car in a dealers inventory for more than 2 years is not subject to CGT when sold, or if the CGT has been paid, a credit is applied for any CGT.

Saw a 355CH today (actually heard it first). Red/white wheels/no wing in the CBD. Yummy. Cisco's, I'm assuming....but I can't be sure.

nope nobody makes one, not even in the hard to find amalgam low volume number models (i sourced an AM Lagonda for a friend and it cost a bomb, but they only made 37 of them).

chances are it would be one of the last on the list as i think HW's license expires in 2010, so they'll probably rush to get the 458 done first, and then theres still plenty of other models they havnt done yet like the 348 which would take priority IMO.

 

Really?? Well, I just heard again that Kyosho arent making Ferrari models anymore.

You really think HW's will make a 348?? I doubt it, they will cash in on the newer Ferraris and the 458 coupe/spider for as long as they can!

Who is taking over the Ferrari model licence after 2010??

 

Not sure of many cars out there gaining in value over 2 years to be hit with CGT.

I saw one of those OHOS 355 Challenge cars yesterday. Still a pretty car 14 years after the 355 design first showed up.

 

+1!! The 355 will still look gorgeous in another 14 yrs!

until someone decided it was a good idea to mess with the clean design and put a wing on the back!

 

The 355 is certainly holding up very well with time... Anyone know why the 'waistline' of cars is getting so high - I doubt I could see out the side windows of the new Italia.

 

just guessing, but i would almost put money on it being safety.

Dunno about the 365 part:the bottom front is ok,the rear has 400 treatment(4 lights,not 6).the unreliable 5 litre 8cyl in place of the unburstable
4.4 litre V12..Hmmmmmmm
