I just got off the phone with a person at FNA up in NJ. Some one here posted before that you could call them and get update info about a car and see if all the campaigns were completed. At first she sounded annoyed but then after a slight sigh, gracefully asked for the last 6 digits of the VIN. My question is what are the chances she calls me back. SHe did say she would forward the info to the person who handles that. Personally if she calls back I will be amazed. I dont have a lot faith in companies these days.

You might want to just drop in to Ferrari Atlanta and ask the service director to email them

Would they be willing to help a customer who is not a customer?

Yea, depends on your story. If you claim you live in the area and are looking at a car to buy then they'd probably be willing.(he'll think that you'll be a service customer) Or, the FNA peeps will probably call you back. You get her name? Be pleasantly persistent and call back if you don't hear until you get what you want.

If you own the car, just call your nearest dealer's service manager and give them your VIN. Ferrari of San Diego was very responsive when I enquired.

No, not yet. Just one of the cars on my short list. The salesman sounds like a good guy. He was honest about not knowing the campaign history.

I just never imagined so much leg work in purchasing a used F car. Geese.

Don't be suprised about all the legwork, it is a MUST when buying a used Ferrari.

The Guys at Ferrari of Atlanta were a big help when I pruchased my vehicle. They sent me copies of all the work orders completed by the previous owner less his name, address, etc...

Exactly. Not necessary to contact FNA as this information is available at the dealer level.

You know, I believe I posted a similar experience in the past.
Unsure exactly what role FNA fills, but it ain't superior customer service... that much I'm sure!
I get the impression they are more to do Ferrari events and general management of the label, not so much to interact with the end users.

I found (some) dealerships MUCH better with front-line support of their products, both past and present.

FNA cares for the dealers, the dealers take care of the retail customer.....

I don't call WILLIAMH to order a light fixture.......same thing!

    There's a thing called a Distribution Network.......:D :D :D

FNA does attempt to track it's customers...all my Vintage Ferraris are registered with them, in case they want to throw a party, or something....:D

DIND DING....... Well I got a message on my cell early this morning and guess who it was. FNA! A gentleman had left a message stating that the VIn question was all up to date on the campaigns and that no recalls are open. They proved me wrong.

Now time to order a PPI.....
