Had a Norm sighting in his 430 Spider on GW Parkway this morning. Strangely. I was pulled over just after seeing him for, you guessed it, no front plate. I must have a strange magnetic force for these things. Somehow Norm survived.

 

Wow! Sorry to hear that Monte. I saw another Black 360 or 430 Spider on the Dulles Toll Rd heading West at 1:45 PM. I couldn't tell if it was the same car I saw earlier as the top was up. I did see Scuderia shields however.

I was dropping a server off at the Equinix datacenter in Ashburn on Friday. A red 355 was parked next to me when I came out. Sweet ride...

 

Blue 308 yesterday around 1pm stopped at a produce stand off of 108 in Columbia.

-yellow F430 coupe w/Challenge rims on Georgetown Pike in Great Falls
-two black DB9s in Great Falls, one in the village and other on Leesburg Pike
-bright red Exige on Falls Rd in Potomac, MD
-black S65 AMG, also in Falls Rd
-bright red SL-65 AMG on Dulles Toll Road
-maroon Exige on beltway

Black 360 spyder in Spring Lake NJ on Saturday. Nice car to take real estate shopping...

 

Red 355 on fairfax and monroe in Arlington.

 

Saw what appeared to be a yellow 365 GTS/4 Daytona Spider at a Chevron station / service center at the intersection of Spring Hill Rd and Old Dominion Dr in McLean. I didn't get to see the car up close, so I can't say whether it was real or not, however it at least looked like a bonafide Daytona. I'm wagering it's a chop job....while the station always has lots of nice classic cars there getting serviced, it's still odd for a $1 million car to be sitting outside like that.

Also saw a grigio alloy 575M Maranello and a red 512TR at the pub in Great Falls village, along with a maroon Porsche 550 Spyder replica. Other spots for the day include a gray DB9 Volante in Great Falls village, a white Bentley Turbo RL on Leesburg Pike in Tysons, and a dark gray 997TT Cab also on Leesburg Pike

 

Today, Monday, August 03, at about 3:15 pm... of all places, at Costco in Manassas, VA, I saw a Titanium 360 Modena in the lot. As I pulled in, I thought for a second I was seeing the future as that car is nearly identical to my 360 and parked where I usually park. I pulled in nose-to-nose. I did not see the owner, even after I did my shopping. After I left, I thought 'why didn't I snap a pix'??? How often do you suppose meeting your twin would happen? Very Cool!!!!!!

 

Damn; i drove past there twice today and never saw it.

I did see an Aston Martin and a Bentley Continental in the area though.

 

Got another glance of the Daytona Spider this morning....it appears to be a fake:/

think they understand the Irony? not.

There has been a gray Delorean parked in the far back corner of a gated lot at Dulles Airport for at least three days now.

 

As i walk out of Holy Cross hospital 7:30am today. it was a bright morning to a long night....but all is ok!

black Arnage in Great Falls Village

 

So I pulled into the Chevron shop on Old Dominion Drive / Spring Hill Rd intersection in McLean today to check out the Daytona. Contrary to my earlier guesses, it is indeed a real 365 Daytona. Whether it is a real Spider, I'm not sure; after all, considerably more conversions were done than actual Spiders built, and aside from seeing papers or a VIN# I don't know enough about them to tell you off the bat. It it was a conversion, it was very well-done. The car is incredibly beautiful! I took a couple quick shots, but can't upload them right now.

It's sitting right outside, and is yellow so it's impossible to miss.

Edit: also saw a red 360 Spider on Utterback Store Rd in Great Falls, a yellow 997TT at the Galleria in Tysons, and a black SL-63 AMG and black 997TT Cab in Great Falls village all this evening.

 

so let me see if i have this straight. There are a lot of porsches, mercedes and bentleys in great falls. Got it.

 

Alright alright, I'll stick to F-Cars and and other really rare stuff then. I guess it's because I've only just moved here and in my old town a turbo Porsche, Bentley, or Aston was a once-a-month sighting at best. Different world, I suppose.

 

Sorry this isn't a Ferrari sighting (Ed) But I thought this was pretty interesting...I pulled up behind a Viper at a stop light and across the street was a old Model A Ford. An interesting combination of Old & New. Taken last night at the corner of Rt. 123 & Burke Centre Parkway around 8:00 PM.
